Everything you thought you knew about marketing is obsolete. We can see the incontrovertible evidence right in front of us. A new generation of multibillion dollar brands - Facebook, Twitter, AirBnb, Evernote, and countless others - have been built without spending a dime on traditional marketing techniques. No press releases, no PR firm, no Madison Avenue, no billboards in Times Square. It wasn’t luck that took them from tiny start-ups to massive success. They have a new strategy.

As much as 95% of our decisions are made by the subconscious mind. As a result, the world's largest and most sophisticated companies are applying the latest advances in neuroscience to create brands, products, package designs, marketing campaigns, store environments, and much more, that are designed to appeal directly and powerfully to our brains.

What disappointed you about The Buying Brain?

He made such basic comments correlating Neuroscience to marketing principles that we all learned in life or in school. He spent a lot of time talking about the science behind the brain but that too, we all learned in 12th grade. Very disappointing read

Has The Buying Brain turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No.

How could the performance have been better?

    Not relevant

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No redeeming qualities - just gave me a bit more insight into the fact that fMRI's are not as practical as people say.
