Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not really. Some good tips, but really maybe 1.5 hours was about setting goals. The remainder were stories about how Ziglar's tapes benefit people. If you've listened to some of his other recordings, the jokes will be the same and there is little fresh material here.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More talk on setting and achieving goals. There was surprisingly little on this topic considering the title of the lecture.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoy listening to Ziglar. I have several of his recordings. IMHO, this one is one of the weakest in his series.

Excellent motivational series from Ziglar. If you had to buy one series from him, this is a good one to choose. It provides a very good, over-arching view of his approach, recommendations, and philosophies.

You Are Now Less Dumb is grounded in the idea that we all believe ourselves to be objective observers of reality - except we’re not. But that's okay, because our delusions keep us sane. Expanding on this premise, McRaney provides eye-opening analyses of 15 more ways we fool ourselves every day. This smart and highly entertaining audiobook will be wowing listeners for years to come.

Would you listen to You Are Now Less Dumb again? Why?

I do plan on listening to it again in the future. It gives great insight on how the mind works to trick us or blind us. Bit of a quandary on how on part of the mind fools another.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's a bit long for one sitting, but it is best if taken in in bigger chunks.

    Any additional comments?

Fun beginner's book on critical thinking. There are other books that delve even deeper into critical thinking, fallacies, biases, and argumentation. This one is good for whetting the appetitie.

Four decades after it first shook the nation, then the world, William Peter Blatty's thrilling masterwork of faith and demonic possession returns in an even more powerful form. Raw and profane, shocking and blood-chilling, it remains a modern parable of good and evil and perhaps the most terrifying novel ever written.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The Exorcist is a classic movie that follows this book fairly closely. What you don't get in the movie is the human struggle and the interesting historical facts behind "possession" vs. "mental illness" that the author spends a good bit of time on. The author does a great job reading his own work. Really, the Exorcist does not seem to be about a girl being possessed by a demon; rather, it seems to be a story about a struggling priest's fight with his lost faith and his eventual salvation.
