My Amazon review may show up here as well...
I am astonished by how much Spanish I'm learning with so little effort. You'll find both the music and voices very pleasant (listen to the sample).
Volume 3 on Audible has a link in the product description to a pdf phrase booklet. To get the pdf booklets for volumes 1 and 2, I went to the Earworms website and signed up for the newsletter thereby gaining access to the downloads. Audible needs to fix that omission.
I'm completely delighted to add this to my learning repertoire and hope that Earworms continues to add to theirs!
This is a complete scam. It is NOT "4 hours of accelerated Spanish". It is literally 4 hours of listening to the same 20 sentences over and over and over. I'd sooner have a root canal than listen to this again. I do not exaggerate.
In case you forget, each chapter begins with credits and copyright information. During the lesson they literally reuse a previous recording many times over. Most of us by now know how to rewind on our own.
Shame on you, Mark Frobose!
I'm angry enough about this to send a formal complaint to Audible.
This is just one of several tools I'm using to learn a little Spanish. The music and voices are very pleasant. It's a somewhat passive, yet effective way to pick up new phrases and accustom one's self to accents and proper pronunciation.
I loved this two part series. I found the characters, story, and narration to be a perfectly fulfilling. Don't miss this!
What took me so long? When I wasn't listening to this, I was thinking or talking about it. Don't miss this great family wartime saga!
We so enjoyed having a little listen during the busy holiday season. Thank you Audible!
This is easy listening with wit and charm. I'll likely listen to more from this series.
I love it when I find a new author. After a string of books I couldn't finish, I found this one especially delightful.
I don't know how this gets so many great reviews. My husband and I agree this book was rather stupid. After a strong beginning, the story quickly became tedious and annoying. You might like it if you're a fan of slapstick and can tolerate an excess of supernatural creatures.
Seriously, I thought the author would eventually reveal that this family (and all of Broken Harbor for that matter) was poisoned by lead plumbing, what with all the mental health issues and shoddy construction.
As I listened to the first two-thirds of the book I kept telling my husband this was one he shouldn't miss. I found the story and setting fascinating. I laughed at the bursts of levity that popped through. I loved the sidekick.
Alas, in the end I was just getting through a tedious resolution. In summary: a great story with an excess of psychiatric patients.
