Not sure if the question should be posed to the main character or the author...
It takes 4/5 of the book for Jack Reacher, whom we are to take for a superb and intelligent investigator, to think of couple of glaringly obvious scenarios for some of the events in the book and the author makes if clear he can't think solutions for the said scenarios. This make listening to the book extremely frustrating.
In addition, as another reviewer notes author's excessive use of "I said nothing" by Reacher is ridiculous and makes the main character look even more dimwitted.
