For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

What did you love best about Whiskey Beach?

I loved the character Abra Walsh. She was a very independant woman that still had enough soft edges to keep her real.

What does Peter Berkrot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Peter Berkrot was able to change his voice enough to make the chatacters defined. I enjoyed his tones and inflections. Great narrator!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Without giving too much away, there is an addition to the "family" and that truely made a difference in my enjoyment of the book.

Julie Barenson's young husband left her two unexpected gifts before he died - a puppy named Singer and the promise that he would always be watching over her. Now, four years later, 29-year-old Julie is far too young to have given up on love. She may be ready to risk caring for someone again. But who?

Although I truely enjoyed this audio book, I found that there were noises in the background towards the end of the book. It sounded like other people talking, or maybe a television playing. I listened to it with my earphones and my house was silent, so maybe I was a little more perceptive at that time. Otherwise, great story and heart warming characters.
