She is one of the most recognizable women of our time. America knows Jane Fonda as an actress and an activist, a feminist and a wife, a workout guru and a role model. Now, in this extraordinary memoir, Fonda reveals that she is so much more. From her youth among Hollywood's elite and her early film career to the challenges and triumphs of her life today, Jane Fonda reveals intimate details and universal truths.

There was so much in this book that I didn't know....she's a very complex woman. She makes the book come alive by reading it herself.

As a women there was so much in this book that made me stop and examine my own life. I always liked Jane Fonda, but now I admire her!

Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his wills. Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them. And David wants in. He wants Steelheart - the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David's father.

    Any additional comments?

This book was great. It's a rare book that interests both young adults and adults. I liked that there was, finally, a male protagonist (unlike Hunger Games, Divergent, etc), and that there is no swearing or romance, to speak of. I gave it, on Kindle, to my 11 year old grandson who is an advanced reader and he finished it in a couple days and called me to say he loved it! I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series!
