Loved Patriots and Survivors and was looking forward to thoroughly enjoying this based on the reviews since I did not read Founders based on negative reviews.
The characters were all over the place and I was not drawn into the story and characters as I was with Patriots and Survivors.
I did enjoy the storyline on the trip to Australia on the boat.
Narrator was adequate.
The book was already short and I have too many scenes to list that it would have turned into a shorter story.
JWR...you rocked me with the USA storyline and characters in Patriots and Survivors. I would choose another part of the country...South? with a new story and weave it into the provisional government war on people who believe in the Constitution with no characters relating to the books listed above other than political figures.
yes, preceding books were fantastic
I like to listen and Duke is very good.
For 10 dollars yes...
After reading the preceding books I waited until it was released at the end of last year and moved it to the front of the line. This topic was harder to put a great storyline together. If I had read all the books in order and right after each other it would have been slightly better because I was totally engaged with the charactors.
Above average...good book
Edge of seat...not so much
Dick is one of the best
No movie...other Reacher books better
Disappointing compared to the 2 great books leading up to it.
No movie for this...others yes.
Scott Harvath is a better than average character but no Mitch Rapp. However, the last 4 or 5 books of Brad's have been a lot better than the early books which were good reads.
Keeps me involved...if I read the book it would take longer because reading puts me to sleep.
Looking forward to the next book.
Brad Thor is consistent in his writing...very good but not great stories
As much as I enjoy Brad Thor's books I strongly suggest that readers download Brad's series before enjoying Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series. As most of you know Vince died last year from cancer so there will be no additions to his library.
The reason I suggest Thor's first is that as good a character as Scott Harvath is he is no comparison to Mitch Rapp in abilities. Rapp would kick Harvath's $ss with little effort!
Either way both series are winners!
Yes, well written very long story but as with most books I would not listen to it again.
This apocalyptic novel is way down on the list for me when compared to "One Second After" or the John Wesley Wrawles series.
Fine, consistent performance
I enjoyed "The Shining and Salem's Lot" a lot more.
I liked the overall idea but ended up giving up after struggling to get to chapter 38 or so. I did not read the book but after a half dozen sudden changes in the audio story which were not relevant to the previous sentence I became frustrated and gave up.
I assume checking the audio against the print version for continuity.
checking the audio against the print version for continuity.
This book held great potential for me but it drove me crazy per comments above
Most of my books are listened to
Great follow-up to Perseid Collapse
too many to list
Great series...where is book 4-5...
continuation of same characters as the Jakarta Pandemic
too many to list
They were all developed very well...Alex if I had to choose only 1
just finished book 2...cannot wait until 3 is released
Top 3rd...all around good book
One of the first appocalyptic books...1959!
Great reader!...is he still alive?
Great book to start with to get your mind into prepping mode. Other books can contain too much reality and cause a would be prepper to be paralyzed with inaction.
