Not sure if I liked it and not sure if I didn't like it. I thought it was very drawn out with too much detail of the how-to of spying and being stealthy and not enough romance. There seemed to be a lot of characters with very hard to remember names and I wasn't sure who was on what side half the time...that being said...with about three hours left it started to narrow down to the important characters and I did like the ending. I am not sure why this was number 3 in the series...to me it should have been number two...it took you back before the time of book number two so half the time you just knew what was going to happen because you already read it in book two. I didn't hate it however, I could have done without the whole first half of the story. Sorry (sort of)

Her parents want a betrothal, but Mairead MacKenzie can't get married without revealing her secret, and no man will wed her once he knows. Plain in comparison to her siblings and extremely reserved, Mairead has been called "MacKenzie's Mouse" since she was a child. No one knows the reason for her timidity and she would just as soon keep it that way. When her parents arrange a betrothal to Laird Tadhg Matheson, she is horrified.

I enjoyed each and every one of these books. They were well written with good character development and likable characters. Plenty of love, steam, humor and surprise. The narrator was wonderful as she always is. I highly recommend this series. I wish and hope that perhaps there are more coming!!

To alleviate the boredom of his privileged life, he occupies himself with drinking and whoring, not to mention the occasional duel. This book was pure entertainment. Nothing to think about such as historical correctness or any hidden messages, etc. This is one of those books you either love it or hate it. I loved it. The main character sounds to be very fluffy and dumb, however, when you get beneath the layers...something different emerges. What I liked the most is they get together early in the story and there isn't any of the angst and occurrences that would keep them apart. Just the right about of steamy moments, however, made lighter with the humorous banter taking place. I found myself laughing out loud at many moments in this story. The narrator did a good job and made it even more enjoyable. Worth the credit or purchase? I think so...anytime I can be entertained without having to think too hard is worth it to me!!

London, 1817. Stuck in a Mayfair ballroom thanks to his love-struck brother, highlander Arran MacLawry wants nothing but a bit of distraction from an arranged betrothal, and a clever, auburn-haired lass in a vixen's mask promises just that - until he discovers that she's the granddaughter of the Campbell, chief of clan MacLawry's longtime rival. Despite their families' grudging truce, falling for fiery Mary Campbell is a notion too outlandish even for this Highlander.
