I like the fact that they used different narrators for the male and female voices. It makes you connect more with the characters.
At the end when they were reading the letters that their mother left them. It was as if she knew that she was going to be leaving them soon and she needed to make sure she let them know how much she loved them and wanted them to have a better life after she was gone. Also the fact she was helping them remember that they are connected and joined as a family and they needed to up lift one another and get back to being sisters and brother joined together.
Oh yes you do want to listen to it all at one time. This story held my attention through out.
The honesty of the story. I loved how she totally expressed the good and the bad of her life
Toward the end when she finally realize that Veronica James and Tammy were just people and that she did not have to feel inferior to them any more. They are flawed just like poor people.
Her Southern accent was great..
I did like the twist of her being hypnotized and the fact it makes her show her feeling for him that she has always had. The thing I liked the least is how they beat around the bush about how much the truly cared for each other...
I really like the narrator I have heard her on other novels and I like how she express the characters.
I like the battle between Lamont and Jethro for the housing bid. The romance between Theresa and Lamont could have been done better.
I did inspire me not to judge people on their outside appearance Ms. Babydoll's character was done very well.
This book was okay it held my attention I have listen to this book 3 times it would be in on my top 30 of all the audio books I have in my collection.
The narrator was fine she did the best she could with the story. I do feel that it would have been better suited for an African American narrator so the terms and slang that was used in the story would sound more believeable.
The story was good it held my attention through out. Sort of the Pretty Woman type love story, however it was a good twist that it was a mixed couple.
This was a wonderful story full of twist and turns and also the romance and struggles for the three friends was in tense. From a female stand point this has opened my eyes to alot of things about relationships.
