From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

I know this became popular again after his murder but he was truly a patriot and we were lucky to have him when we did. The unfortunate is all countries need his skills. His description of war was very intense and tragic that we have to send our young to that. It was a good forthright account from his perspective. I am sorry he is gone.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

  • A Prayer for Owen Meany

Of all of John Irving's books, this is the one that lends itself best to audio. In print, Owen Meany's dialogue is set in capital letters; for this production, Irving himself selected Joe Barrett to deliver Meany's difficult voice as intended. In the summer of 1953, two 11-year-old boys – best friends – are playing in a Little League baseball game in Gravesend, New Hampshire. One of the boys hits a foul ball that kills the other boy's mother. The boy who hits the ball doesn't believe in accidents; Owen Meany believes he is God's instrument. What happens to Owen after that 1953 foul ball is extraordinary and terrifying.

My favorite book is 100 Years of Solitude, this book ranks up there leaving a lasting memory of the characters in you mind and especially Owen with all his quirkiness and character.

Linda McKinney is a myrmecologist, a scientist who studies the social structure of ants. Her academic career has left her entirely unprepared for the day her sophisticated research is conscripted by unknown forces to help run an unmanned - and thanks to her research, automated - drone army. Odin is the secretive Special Ops soldier with a unique insight into the faceless enemy who has begun to attack the American homeland with drones programmed to seek, identify, and execute targets.

Would you consider the audio edition of Kill Decision to be better than the print version?

    n/a

What did you like best about this story?

The thought provoking ideas of drones and where it could go.

Which character – as performed by Jeff Gurner – was your favorite?

Characters were all good with the exception of McKinney but that had more to do with the character than his performance.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Better than the book

    Any additional comments?

Weaker than Freedom and Daemon but good because Mr. Suarez's books are intelligent and technologically possible. The McKinney character was nauseating. Her logic did not make sense and and she was WHINNEY! I did not want to put down at times but her character in the begining made me want to shut it off.

If you could sum up Unstuff Your Life in three words, what would they be?

practical, take the emotion out of it, advice on what you keep and what you let go.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting aspect is the emotional connections we have to 'THINGS" we may not want, need, or care about but we keep housing, storing, and someday, someday, we will use for this or that, that never really happens.

Which character ??? as performed by Andrew J. Mellen ??? was your favorite?

    HIMSELF!

What insight do you think you???ll apply from Unstuff Your Life?

Have applied a lot of it, such as the simple one of having a place for things as soon as you walk in door and going through closets and ridding myself of things I have not used in years. The most difficult thing was donating my mothers hutch that she wanted for so long and was so proud to have gotten. It's OK, I still have all the wonderful memories.

    Any additional comments?

Recommended to friend - he likes to fold his towels like that now.
