Graham Greene’s evocative analysis of the love of self, the love of another, and the love of God is an English classic that has been translated for the stage, the screen, and even the opera house. Academy Award-winning actor Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, A Single Man) turns in an authentic and stirring performance for this distinguished audio release.

Karen Downes says: "Colin whispers in my ear, and I melt"
    "Love, hate & redemption."

Would you consider the audio edition of The End of the Affair to be better than the print version?

Cannot say, I have only listened to this story.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

In our hours of pain and grief, we all want to believe.

Which character – as performed by Colin Firth – was your favorite?

The man with the son, who did the investigating. He demonstrated human frailties & love.

If you could take any character from The End of the Affair out to dinner, who would it be and why?

    Sarah.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this read & the voices.

A dangerous, homeless drifter who grew up picking cotton in virtual slavery. An upscale art dealer accustomed to the world of Armani and Chanel. A gutsy woman with a stubborn dream. A story so incredible no novelist would dare dream it.

Maria says: "Buy the printed book on this one..."
"It surprised me. I liked so much about it."

What did you love best about Same Kind of Different as Me?

The characters were real, nothing was hidden, most was exposed. No granduosity, no preaching. Simple messages & subtext. I loved the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Same Kind of Different as Me?

Ron's wife's conversation with his mistress, and her ownership & ability to forgive &forge ahead. Denver's careful consideration of agreeing to a friendship with Ron compared to when Ron invited him finally into his family home-heartwarming & real!

What does Dan Butler and Barry Scott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Faces, voices--true grit.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    An Unlikely Acquaintance

    Any additional comments?

Go with Great Actors if you're gonna produce a real tearjerker. It would surely draw folks in for more than one viewing!

At Westish College, a small school on the shore of Lake Michigan, baseball star Henry Skrimshander seems destined for big league stardom. But when a routine throw goes disastrously off course, the fates of five people are upended.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Art of Fielding to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed it like I was listening to a baseball game & getting the scores...sadly, didn't read the print first.

What other book might you compare The Art of Fielding to and why?

    Great Expectations

What does Holter Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Real interest in the subject matter & characters--I could visualize their faces, their scenes.

If you could take any character from The Art of Fielding out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The main character & his high-school recruiter friend.
To ask them why they think things happened just so...would they have changed anything.
And to ask...what did they love most in the beginning of the game--in their youth.
