Action-packed from the start, Hidden Order demonstrates yet again why Brad Thor is the "master of thrillers". A string of high-profile kidnappings has Washington, D.C., in a frenzy. When the victims begin turning up dead, frenzy turns to panic. And when the ransom demand is finally made public, panic will turn to terror. In Brad Thor's riveting new thriller, the stakes have never been higher, nor the lines between good and evil so hard to discern.

What did you like best about Hidden Order? What did you like least?

The concept of the secret agencies within the CIA was intriguing. Overall, the storyline was way too complex to easily follow in audio format.

To five-year-old Jack, Room is the entire world. It is where he was born and grew up; it's where he lives with his Ma. Room is home to Jack, but to Ma, it is the prison where Old Nick has held her captive for seven years. Through determination, ingenuity, and fierce motherly love, Ma has created a life for Jack. But she knows it's not enough...not for her or for him. She devises a bold escape plan, but what she does not realize is just how unprepared she is for the plan to actually work.

What made the experience of listening to Room the most enjoyable?

I hesitated a long time before downloading this book. I was afraid it would be too emotional and sad, and dramas are usually something I stay away from. I typically like the mysteries and thrillers. But this book had just the right amount of feeling without being overly so and what an amazing, well narrated book. I felt like I was right in the room! Great story.

  • Two for the Dough: Stephanie Plum, Book 2

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

    "Bad choice of narrator"
    Overall

Why they thought a 50 year old smoker would be a good voice to portray a 30-year old learning the ropes at her new job is beyond me. To make matters worse, there is no passion behind her read. Just flat and lifeless. I don't know if the story is good, as I couldn't take it and switched to another book. Heard so much raving about how funny and great the Plum books are that I am really disappointed, as this is my first. Be sure to find a clip to listen to first if you can.
