This FBI themed series is part suspense, part romance and written with the kind of fast paced, witty dialogue that aspiring writers like myself would love to emulate! It's sassy intrigue with characters you're routing for until the very end. Something About You is the first in this series an features US Assistant District Attorney Cameron Lynde, who witnesses, sort of, a murder is definitely my favorite in the series. You don't necessarily have to read them in order but I highly recommend it.
I was already a fan of narrator Karen White and she doesn't disappoint!
I'm not sure I like the author's choice of flash back for this character. This installment didn't keep me as riveted as previous books.
The first installment in the series was wall written, action packed and kept me riveted until the end. My only criticism is that the main character does some pretty extraordinary action scenes for a D.A. It will be interesting to see how this develops in the next installments as it a bit of a stretch to think that a D.A. would be part Dirty Harry. It has sparked my interest so I'll be reading the next installment. January LaVoy is a great at narration! I love her!
Rock Chick was a enjoyable ride, albeit a little slow. I don't think I'll be continuing the series and the first book did not do enough to grab my attention.
I'm trying to expand my horizons and find a good cozy mystery series, this will not be it. The main character, the owner of a mystery book story is annoying and I spent the entire book not really caring what happens to her or even if she solves the crime. There has to be better ones out there and I'll keep looking.
Let me begin by stating that I'm not really a fan of the body movers series (outside of the fact it's set in Atlanta), I much prefer her humorous romantic mystery standalones (Our Husband being my favorite, completely worth a credit). Whole Lotta Trouble is a little slow in parts and I'm not as invested in the characters as I would like to be. If you're new to this author, try Our Husband first.
Despite the fact they've completely ruined Temperance B for television (completely my own independent opinion) and I'm never disappointed by an installment in the series. Highly recommend this author this series every time! Well worth the credit.
Mean Streak was a decent read, not Sandra Brown's best in my opinion but it the story line as captivating enough to keep me listening. The narration was good. She has other titles I would recommend over this one.
I've been a long time fan of Nora Roberts but her last romance/suspense novel left me a little disappointed. This one was gripping from beginning to end with just enough twists to keep you on your toes. January LaVoy does a phenomenal job as narrator, adding to my overall enjoyment (I think I'll be looking into other titles with her in narration). Parts of it were predictable but if you want a enjoyable audio experience, this is an excellent choice!
Very good install good installment in the Kathleen brooks book series. Love Learning more about Taylor and Trey. Love keeping up with Kingston
A intelligent heroine, believable action and romance that's not over the top. I enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend.
