I know I like an Author when I google to see what else they've written. This was a great debut and I can't wait for the rest of the series to become available on Audible.
Yeah the title put me off, but I listened to excerpt and was intrigued. I'm really surprised how good the writing and the narration was. There were parts where I rolled my eyes, but likewise there were parts that almost brought a tear to my eye. Yeah there is sex and a lot of it, but again considering that it is erotica, it is tastefully done, that being said, if the idea of a menage makes you squimish move on. Thumbs up on using your credit on this one!
I've read all of Joanna's books in the Reaper series and this one is my favorites by far. The awkwardness of London and her inner musings crack me up. I think Joanna is really hitting her stride as a writer and truly look forward to more from her. I also enjoyed the dual narration from two of my favorites Tatiana and Sean triple win!!
It's always bittersweet when I finish listening to KA's Carnal series, it's like anything I listen next will be a let down. I particularly liked the diversity in characters in this one and hope to see more of it in future stories. There maybe be a formula to the way KA writes but I find all the stories unique and engaging. Now let's have a WOC in a lead!
I love zombie stories like this, where two opposite people are thrown together by circumstances and even though mistakes are made they slowly become to depend on each other. I find that I really enjoy women writing about zombies they tend to flesh out the characters more, but don't worry fellas there's no angst and almost no romance. The narrator did a great job too. Buy or credit this is a great find!
I rarely write bad reviews, but this one has so many annoying qualities, from the female narrator sounding like a 15 year old girl and mispronouncing so many words, really did she pay attention in English class at all? The heroine was so whiny, weak and fearful I just wanted her to go away. I truly don't get the high reviews on this one. Don't waste your credit or money.
This is touching story, about the horrors of war and adjusting to life back home, it was heart breaking in places and I was glad for a happy ending!
Sexy, laugh out loud funny, an insecure girl with a heart of gold, who becomes a lioness when needed. what more can you ask for in a romance? Buy or credit it's well worth it, I will be looking for more from Ava Lore!
So this audio book is priced at $2.09 and at a little over 3 1/2 hours I figured why not! I'm glad I took a chance, good audio quality, fantastic narrator, and a solid story, can't quite figure out why its in the romance section, because it really is a suspense novella. go ahead a buy it if your looking for a good short story that really feels like a novel, because the writer Carolyn Nash is so descriptive. Keep on writing Carolyn, I'll look for more from you!
I enjoyed this book immensely, I'm alway interested in stories and how they address mental illness. I liked how spunky Erin was, some of the scenes I was thinking OMG, I couldn't imagine she would do that! Or OK Erin stop talking... Please!! A thoroughly entertaining listen that definitely kept my attention. Oh yeah and hot sex!
This was a decent story at a bargain price of less than 5 bucks, so you can't go too wrong... Well I take that back I've heard some got awful books at this price point, this one was passable but was literally a copycat of Romancing the Stone, an excellent book btw, with Marie taking on Joan's character and Ethan taking on Jack's, even had an Ralph type character, at the end I expected Eddy Grant to start singing Romancing the Stone!
