  • Term Limits

    • UNABRIDGED (15 hrs and 34 mins)
    • By Vince Flynn
    • Narrated By Nick Sullivan
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In one bloody night, three of Washington’s most powerful politicians are executed with surgical precision. Their assassins then deliver a shocking ultimatum to the American government: set aside partisan politics and restore power to the people. No one, they warn, is out of their reach—not even the president. A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals the killers are elite military commandos, but no one knows exactly who they are or when they will strike next.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Story is okay but I was looking for Mitch to come in at any time. Coleman, Kennedy and Stanfill made it interesting.

Would you be willing to try another book from Vince Flynn? Why or why not?

Yes and I have at least 9 already.

Have you listened to any of Nick Sullivan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    He's excelllent

Was Term Limits worth the listening time?

  • Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 49 mins)
    • By Bill O'Reilly, Martin Dugard
    • Narrated By Bill O'Reilly
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

    Daniel says: "History Made Interesting"
    "Exciting story"
What made the experience of listening to Killing Lincoln the most enjoyable?

The time line connecting people and events made it very enjoyable..

What about Bill O'Reilly’s performance did you like?

I think he did an excellent job of presenting the story and his tying events and people together made the story very interesting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were to many to mention. I listened to this book in one day and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Any additional comments?

It is an excellent read and I recommend it to anyone who has an interest in Lincoln, his death and the events that took place the last few weeks of his life.

  • Gandhi & Churchill

    • UNABRIDGED (29 hrs and 22 mins)
    • By Arthur Herman
    • Narrated By John Curless
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In this fast-paced epic, best-selling historian and master storyteller Arthur Herman spotlights two giants of the 20th century. Gandhi & Churchill shows how their 40-year rivalry revolutionized India and the British Empire, paving the way for a new era. Gandhi championed India's independence, Churchill the British Empire.

David says: "A motif that works well"
    "Leadership: Passive and Aggresive"

A wonderful recount of events that shapped both the future of Great Britan and India. Although things didn't turn out the way either of the two men expected their contributions to history are majestic. The backgrounds of both men and the era they came from makes for interesting reading and a deeper understanding of how they acted/reacted to the events that took place.

  • Cutting for Stone: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (23 hrs and 58 mins)
    • By Abraham Verghese
    • Narrated By Sunil Malhotra
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Marion and Shiva Stone are twin brothers born of a secret union between a beautiful Indian nun and a brash British surgeon at a mission hospital in Addis Ababa. Orphaned by their mother's death in childbirth and their father's disappearance, bound together by a preternatural connection and a shared fascination with medicine, the twins come of age as Ethiopia hovers on the brink of revolution. Yet it will be love, not politics - their passion for the same woman - that will tear them apart.

Mary Lynn says: "Brilliant story, pitch perfect narration"
"Out of Africa into Fort Collins."

A wonderful story about people, a country, customs, medicine, and love. A long novel with complex life situations and their affects on family and friends. The narrator was an excellent reader and brought the story to life and kept my interest from beginning to end. Highly recommend it.......

  • Invisible Prey

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By John Sandford
    • Narrated By Richard Ferrone
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In the richest neighborhood of Minneapolis, two elderly women lie murdered in their home, killed with a pipe, the rooms tossed, only small items stolen. It is clearly the random work of someone looking for money to buy drugs. But as Davenport looks more closely, he begins to wonder whether the items are actually so small and the victims so random; if there might not be some invisible agenda at work here. Gradually, a pattern begins to emerge, and it leads him to...certainly nothing he ever expected.

Sheryl Baumgart says: "Another great read"
    "Invisible Prey"

Always enjoy Sandford and his realistic approach with Lucas.
