    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 39 mins)
    • By Dianne Duvall
    • Narrated By Kirsten Potter
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Krysta is used to getting the drop on vampires. Her "special abilities" aren't much, but the plan is simple - she plays helpless pretty young thing to lure them in. Then her shoto swords come out and it's bye-bye, bloodsucker. Until one night she finds herself with an unexpected ally. He's a vampire, all right, but different. Mysterious. Handsome. And more interested in saving her skin than draining it. Etienne has been an Immortal Guardian for two hundred years-long enough to know that Krysta is special.

"Love this Series- Good but less Exciting"

First of all let me say this is one of my favorite series- so by all means a good story. My personal taste is more towards friction and a slower build up to the characters falling in love - and in this story it happened a bit too quick for my preference.

The surrounding familiar characters and continued back story with Zach, Amy and Seth kept the pot brewing. Kristen Potter in my opinion makes the entire listen come to life- she is amazing!!

I just missed the struggle and interactions that blend suspense with the dance of two coming together- perhaps I wanted more of a tango and that is just unique to my taste. If you are similar- this one may seem a tad less exciting- but still a fun continuation of a great series.

"So what if the book is good when the cost is High?"

This is a good book. Good narration- but my stomach hurts each time I pay to finish it- I get satiated but pissed as I continue. I have so many good books that were in one download- and usually the cost was in the neighborhood of "worth it"

This is a poor value- and I am not sure I can stomach finishing.

Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot, he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the one, she just can't turn him away…. Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone.

"This one got so many things RIGHT! I am in love!"

I have a full library of Romance audible books- and this is yet my first review- so that should tell you something. For me- the way these characters come to life takes the story into a layer of depth I had not anticipated!

Hawke is far more than a mystery man and well worth the unraveling- Tthe narrator creates such a strong identity in him - His voice- his mannerisms-

The story is well developed and yet the dynamic of these two characters shifts and moves back again with an ebb and flow that keeps you listening (sometimes with your jaw DROPPING!)

The twists are unexpected- and some are subtle but have a deep effect. The texture and
personalities transcend the story and bring a heartfelt dimension to these two characters as they grow to know each other.

This was also fun to listen to- made me laugh... and by the end....I was sad that it was done- but so glad to have had the escape for the few days it lasted. I couldn't wait to drive to work to hear more!

Loved loved loved this narrator- have a huge crush on this Hawke character. Definitely recommend this credit worthy Audible book. It is a classic example of how a good story with rich narration can come to life. BUY IT!
