It is 1642 in the Puritan town of Boston. Hester Prynne has been found guilty of adultery and has born an illegitimate child. In lieu of being put to death, she is condemned to wear the scarlet letter "A" on her dress as a reminder of her shameful act.

What disappointed you about The Scarlet Letter?

The accent was difficult to follow, as well as the old English style speaking.

What was most disappointing about Nathaniel Hawthorne’s story?

The story was too slow to start.

What didn’t you like about Shelly Frasier’s performance?

She spoke well, I didn't like the old style.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Not that I noticed.

    Any additional comments?

    Sorry I chose it.

This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

Would you try another book from Stephen King and/or Grover Gardner?

No. Found 45 hours unbelievably long, and was only able to get through 3 hours only to realize I had 42 to go. Too drawn out for my taste.

Would you ever listen to anything by Stephen King again?

    NO.

What didn’t you like about Grover Gardner’s performance?

He was fine. Material was too long.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Good characters.

    Any additional comments?

Disappointed I used a credit for this.
