The Profiler's Daughter is a psychologically haunting thriller that combines murder mystery, love triangle, and family intrigue in one satisfying page burner. Sky Stone was born into the wealth and privilege of Boston's oldest Brahmin family but chooses instead to follow in the footsteps of her deceased father, legendary FBI profiler Monk Stone. In the chilly morning hours before the Boston Marathon, when a beautiful university student is found strangled and mutilated, her body left at the base of Heartbreak Hill, Sky returns from self-imposed exile to investigate.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

    The narrator.

Would you recommend The Profiler's Daughter to your friends? Why or why not?

If they were reading, yes ...but I could not recommend the audio book.

What didn’t you like about Gabrielle de Cuir’s performance?

This book deserved a far better narrator. Her reading was over the top dramatic and not in a good way. The accents were horrible and the character voices greatly affected how I felt about the characters.

Do you think The Profiler's Daughter needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

This was actually a good story but the narration had an extreme negative affect. I would be interested in another story with the main character, Sky Stone, but will not listen to the audio version unless a different narrator reads the book.

Every married couple knows you don't go to bed angry. The corollary, Cork O'Connor realizes, is that you also don't say goodbye when you're mad. When the charter plane Jo O'Connor is on crashes over the mountains in Wyoming in an early winter storm, Cork deeply regrets the heated argument he had with his wife just before she left. An intense search is launched, but bad weather and the steep terrain hinder the efforts and soon the search is abandoned.

What did you like best about this story?

Every book in this series reveals more of the character of Cork O'Connor. This book is no exception. The story is suspenseful and kept my interest until the end. I enjoy the return of the various recurring characters in each book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Buck Schirner?

I can't wait until this series goes back to David Chandler as narrator. Mr. Chandler's portrayal of the characters in this series is by far the best.

The promise, as I remember it, happened this way. Happy and content in his hometown of Aurora, Minnesota, Cork O'Connor has left his badge behind and is ready for a life of relative peace, setting up shop as a private investigator. But his newfound state of calm is soon interrupted when Henry Meloux, the Ojibwe medicine man and Cork's spiritual adviser, makes a request: Will Cork find the son that Henry fathered long ago?

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Buck Schirner?

    David Chandler, hands down

    Any additional comments?

While I love the story and learning about Henry Meloux, I hate the change of narrators in the middle of the series. David Chandler did a much better job portraying the characters of this series. Buck Shirner is just a monotone reader ...not a wonderful narrator.

We wear ourselves out trying to be smarter, bigger, the center of attention. But dynamic communicator Louie Giglio's latest book puts success back in perspective. This book will teach you the rich, meaningful lifestyle of being small. Free from the worries that used to strangle you, you'll radiate the power of the God who is all the things you aren't!

The description sounded so interesting. The author basically says nothing ...just alot of repetitive blah, blah, blah.
