  • Fifth Grave Past the Light: Charley Davidson, Book 5

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 52 mins)
    • By Darynda Jones
    • Narrated By Lorelei King
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Charley Davidson isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill grim reaper. She’s more of a paranormal private eye/grim reaper extraordinaire. However, she gets sidetracked when the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, moves in next door. To further complicate matters, Reyes is her main suspect in an arson case. Charley has vowed to stay away from him until she can find out the truth... but then dead women start appearing in her apartment, one after another, each lost, confused, and terrified beyond reason.

Hassan says: "Charley Davidson is Back!!!!"
    "She's Back!"
If you could sum up Fifth Grave Past the Light in three words, what would they be?

    Fun, Hilarious, Hot!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifth Grave Past the Light?

There are too many to pinpoint just one.

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love Lorelei King. Her timing is impeccable and she has a marvelous way of bringing the characters to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

What I love about this series is that it is not one dimensional. Ms. Jones has a knack for being able to bring out many emotions.

    Any additional comments?

    Next one please. And hurry!

  • The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 16 mins)
    • By Dorothy Gilman
    • Narrated By Barbara Rosenblat

Mrs. Virgil (Emily) Pollifax of New Brunswick, New Jersey, was a widow with grown children. She was tired of attending her Garden Club meetings. She wanted to do something good for her country. This first in the series sends Emily on her first case after she successfully persuades a skeptical CIA recruitment officer that she is the best person for the job.

Barbara says: "Barbara Rosenblatt: THE Voice!"
    "Fun story"

I enjoyed reading the series and I love Barbara Rosenblat, my only complaint is that Barbara makes Mrs. Pollifax sound like shes in her 90's instead of her 60's. She gives her a very feeble voice when Mrs.. Pollifax is anything but feeble!

Other than that I love this series and Ms. Rosenblat.
