Alice's experience seemed absurd. I was more interested in her sister’s experience. Felt the sister's expressions hit home with someone going thru infertility treatments. Not the best listen while recovering from a miscarriage. Has skewed my opinion.
The story was ok, but fragmented. I read Backseat Saintts first, so this tied it all together.
Not great, but entertaining. I enjoyed the narration from the male perspective. The flow of the story kept a good pace.
Loved this one! I was pulled in immediately. Love the narration and view points from every character. The ending was a wonderful twist, I didn’t want the book to end.
A wonderful setting was watered down by too many backstories. Just as the story was over there was yet another backstory. It made we want to sccream. All the characters did not enhance the story.
Immediately pulled into the story, unfortunately the second half was very boring and I couldn't wait for it to be over. Many of the events seemed unnecessary and frankly irritating.
Unfortunately I have already purchased other books by Joshilyn Jackson, and I am dreading listening to them.
This story inspired me to learn a little more about Hemmingway. I was fascinated by the story and then would do a little research to see if the events were true. I really enjoyed listening to this story.
The characters were rich and multi-dimensional. I looked forward to hearing each chapter and couldn’t wait to hear the outcome of each event.
This story bored me. I kept thinking more would happen. Every event only seemed to brush the surface. Too descriptive with no action.
The story was exciting and perked my interest. I was vested eonogh in the characters that I didn't mind the violence. Looking forward to the next installment.
