This is book 2 of In the Company of Killers, it was better than the first and #1 was very good. These characters are assassins and along with murder comes romance and intrigue.
The writing is wonderful, one of those stories that you can picture in your mind. The narration is good and will grow on you, I kind of like them now. #3 looks great and ready to download now!
This was an ok listen for me, it left me wanting to continue on and see what happens but I am not rushing to download the rest of the series, I have much better in my wish list, which is large! The story is not one that I have heard before and the characters are likable enough, I will hope the rest of the series will go on sale one day! The narrator was ok, one of those that kind of grow on you by mid listen.
Beautiful ending to a beautiful story, I loved this trilogy, similar to the This Man series, this couple fights the darkness to be together. I cannot wait for the next man JEM produces. The narrator is one of the best, she brings these characters to life and I become entranced when she narrates these stories.
I read a good review, several good reviews and tried it, I really, really liked it! Not only is it a historical, paranormal listen but has fantastic suspense, murder and intrigue. This listen kept the ear bud glued to me until the very end. I liked the narration and will continue on with this series.
Florence, art, the Emersons...these themes return in The Raven, only with a major paranormal twist! I liked this listen, the story held my interest, I grew to know and love the characters and look forward to the next book. I love the narrator, same as with the Gabriel trilogy, he can perform like the best narrators out there!
First, 75% of this story is the retelling of books 1-3, which I listened to and loved and remember them all very well. Second, the time span of this book is about 15 years but the actual storyline is about a month long. Now the main characters are all in their 50's and 60's and frankly not very fun anymore! The epilogue involves younger club members and the children of the older/primary club members and I am just not interested in the 20 something crowd so I will end the series here and very disappointed!
This is a good series about training and becoming a sex slave. This is NOT your feel good BDSM love story...this is a story about sadists and the slaves that love them and their lifestyle. These stories are long but there was about 2-3 hrs. of additional short stories at the end. The narrator is good. The characters happily choose this lifestyle, sign contracts, and may leave whenever they want with stipulations and though I cringe with some of the behavior endured, I realize that is what they want. This is #2 and I plan to continue on with the series.
This was a great daily deal pick for me. The story from the eyes of a 13 year old boy and the summer of many deaths. This story had great characters, plot and flowed like a summer from anyone's childhood. This is a story of loss and how pretty much your average family can recover. Well written and narrated, this listen was well deserved of the many 5 star reviews it received!
I loved the Stark Trilogy and will listen to anything about Nikki and Damien. This short story tells of their first Valentine's Day together...a spa trip to the Bahamas, romance and very hot sex! A new character is introduced, Jackson Steele, he sounds quite interesting! The narration by Sofia Willingham is great as usual! Looking forward to more of Mr. Steele!
Similar but different than others in the series. Still sexy hot as only Kresley Cole can dish out but unique in the addition of a new paranormal character. Characters from other stories continue to migrate in and out, either by mention or active participation in the story. I don't know how Petkoff keeps them all straight but he does a great job!
If you liked The Professionals, this story is about brother #2, Max. This listen oozes sensuality like book #1 from beginning to end, very hot, steamy and sexy! The narrator, again, does a great job with realistic accents and emotion throughout, loved it! There is a third brother so I anticipate book #3!
