I loved this historical romantic mystery full of suspense and toe curling sex. The narrator was authentic and just wonderful to listen to.
I really ponder my $4.95 picks and I picked a winner! In the beginning I thought NO!!!!!! The narrator was torturous but I hung in there and I am so glad I did. The story is beautiful, thoughtful, endearing and innocent and I could have listened for hours more, I grew accustomed to the narrator and in the end she was important for this story to be told. I highly recommend!
#3 is much like #1 and #2...damsel in distress saved by the hunk she blew off, as in broke up with. This listen would be good with about 4 hours less of repetition and thinking among the characters. The narrator was good and of course there were multiple very hot sex scenes. If you've listened to the others, expect much of the same.
Cat and Bones were my first so I still love them the best but Leila and Vlad are a very close second. Fun story of love and adventure vampire style. Tavia Gilbert's Vlad voice is so good the real Impaler would be impressed!
Just as good as book 1. I love how book 1 is seamlessly written into book 2, it wasn't a rehash of book 1 but a nice refresher. I like my characters to stay around for the whole series. Narration grows on you....lots of p and f words. Looking forward to #3 and hopefully more after that!
Highland romance + Kirsten Potter = excellence. The story was well written and authentic but.....it is a trilogy so there are a lot of mysteries to be solved. I will not listen to a Highland romance story without Kirsten Potter narrating, she is that good.
Murder, pedophilia and cybersex from the eyes of 1 girl. I have never listened to anything like this before and it was good, the narrator was good too...neither was great.
Sex and tears...that's about it. No story, no plot, no character development. So if you are in the mood to just listen to sex and angst go for it!
I anticipated Wick's story but learned very little. This listen was just more of the same with little new knowledge. I felt Wick had a great background story to explore but it was touched on just a little. I felt like the author was in a hurry to get it over with. It will take a 5 star review for me to continue on with the series.
As a book reader I would never have chosen a Kinsale book, as an Audible listener I was exposed to a review of her works and took a chance. I am so thankful because this is the most beautiful story, beautifully written and beautifully narrated. So if you haven't...take a chance!
Necessary for me because I am caught up in these characters and will listen to everything written. This is a snapshot of Book 1 from Tony's POV and I was hoping for more insight into Tony. This story is a mystery and I am looking forward to continuing on with the journey.
