Sex and tears...that's about it. No story, no plot, no character development. So if you are in the mood to just listen to sex and angst go for it!
Again similar to book one and there are better out there in this genre. Bought this during a "find a new series" sale, but this series is not for me!
This MC story was just ok for me. There was very little biker story and much more of a sex story for the high ranking biker and a timid, virginal working girl. The narrator was not very good but tolerable. I probably will not continue on with this series, I am too spoiled by the Undeniable Series...that's a biker book!
A wonderful story, true to the era with a fabulous narrator. What more can you ask for? I can't wait to listen to #3 and #4!
This vampire who has a heartbeat and can breathe story is similar to the others in that genre. They are warriors fighting rogues and find their mate. It was just ok for me, the narrator was just ok, overall just not very interesting. I bought 1&2 of the series but that will be it for me unless the rest are free.
This listen was a little too tame for me. Very much like other NR books I've listened to without the ghosts and spirits. I did love the narrator, she has a very sexy male voice which I haven't encountered much.
This was your usual Highland Romance with a bit of intrigue but what made it unique was the wonderful narration. Sometimes a good, authentic, male narration will do wonders for the story and Mr. Perkins did just that! This is about 4 Highlanders, friends since youth, their trials and finding love. This was #1 so there is a lot of character introduction but I plan to continue on with the series to see what happens with other three!
I just love this series and considering the ending there is more to come. The narrator, for me, has made these characters come to life! Great job!
This is #2 of the series and I loved it. Spooky and ghostly, perfect for Halloween! Amelia can see ghosts and she restores cemeteries and now we know why. This is the story of her birth plus a little evil in the mix. Beautiful southern narration, Amelia lives in Charleston.
These books have all been soooooo good! There's a storyline, plot, love, romance and ALOT of the p and f words. I love that all the main characters recur throughout the series and the narration is just phenomenal! I hope #4 is not the end of the series!
I enjoyed this listen but it was quite dull during much of the story. The unique ending made up for that. I felt cheated, getting the best part of the story when it was over. The narrator sounded like a radio dj to me, I didn't like him but he was tolerable.
