On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I was totally smitten by Brown'sTed talk and bought her book. In hindsight, I really think readers/listeners should spend their money elsewhere.

What could Brené Brown have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I guess what's truly important is that Brown herself is happy with her book. Speaking only for myself, I made a bad choice buying it seeing as I find the argument utterly hazy.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

It took ages before she got to the point, and by then I was exhausted by anecdotes and jokes, so I think the first chapters could be rewritten (of course, I realize this will never happen)

What character would you cut from The Power of Vulnerability?

I just don't trust the basic argument of this book.

    Any additional comments?

I really don't like writing a bad review, but I really felt I had to in this case.
