What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is the best reader ever! RL + LK = automatic download.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Mr. Hunt considered compromising Anabel again in the same night just for "Insurance" purposes. It was funny and romantic at the same time.

    Any additional comments?

The Wallflowers series is awesome! And once you've finished you have to read The Hathaways . A must read/listen.

I really felt sorry for Lance. I actually cried. Maybe the author could write some book with a happy ending for him. I don't think she has yet (I looked up and couldn't find anything) :(

Who was your favorite character and why?

The duke, I guess I felt sorry for him because of his misfortunes and Maddy girl...I just wanted to punch her. Sorry, but I did.

What about Nicholas Boulton’s performance did you like?

    Flawless. He is amazing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I'd love to, but it was impossible.

This is my second book by Laura Kinsale and I really liked her, although the books that I've read are sort of nerve wreaking. This particular one left me with no nails and less hair... The lunatic asylum ... the ape... is the king coming or not? and that Maddy girl drove me to the edge...For God sake enough already! Some people were sorry the book ended I was actually counting the chapters to end my agony. Don't get me wrong, the book is awesome but I just couldn't take the pressure anymore.Thank God for the part about the wedding. I've listened another book with a funny wedding scene but this one is way funnier. On the next book by LK that I listen I'll listen with my hands tied so my hair won't suffer.Definitely worth a credit.

Will he be her savior, or her ruin? Samuel Gerard draws her inexorably into the richest circles of aristocratic England. But even as Leda falls in love with a man she can never have, she must keep his secrets.

What about Nicholas Boulton’s performance did you like?

It's my first book read by him. I'll be looking for more.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh, cry, anger. I had all kinds of reactions. I felt sorry for Samuel because of his sad past, but I also hated him for making Leda thinks that she was not the one he wanted for most part of the book . He redeemed himself, but there were times that I wanted to strangle him.

    Any additional comments?

It's worth the credit. It's romance, adventure, history all in one.

It was whispered all through London society that he was a murderer, that he'd spent his youth in an asylum and was not to be trusted - especially with a lady. Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.

I listened to this book and although I did not like Angela Dawe's performance at all I decided to buy the second book because the story was really good. I did not like the second book, not even the story, but I gave a shoot to the third book and, thank God it was a little better. After that I skipped Hart's story and went strait to Fellows just because it was on sale otherwise I was probably given up on this series. I did like that one though, I thought the story was cute and by then I was used to Angela's voice but her performance again was not good. She needs to put the emotions in practice, she misses laughs, cry, anger etc...She might say " he laughed when he answered...." but when she does the voice of the person she misses the laugh. I probably sound weird but listen to Rosalyn Landor and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Lisa Kleypas books are awesome and I'm addicted to Rosalyn Landor so much that I find myself extremely disappointed every time I finish a book NOT read by her. She is the best reader ever. I catch myself looking for books she read instead of authors I like.
