This book is one i would over and over again! Its full of humor and fun and just simply a really good listen. Once again Lauren Fortgang delivered the characters well! I love her! Its a light listen but one that made my 8 hour shift at work pass by very fast!
I don't think any of the previous books can compare to this one....This book just rocked my world!
I would say its similar to Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalkers Series
The moment that Zach threw 2 vampires through the windows of David's house and roared at Seth! In my mind, all the immortals stopped breathing and might have considered fleeing (even if it was for a split second!).
Oh hell yes! The things that happen to Lisette constantly just had me laughing... When the tension between Seth & Zack began to lessen, I was breathing a little easier...There is a whole list of moments I could go through....
I would say definitely worth a credit...Heck! I would purchase this listen outright without a credit. Just like all the others so far the story & the narration makes time fly by...
Maybe....but given that I already know the ending now it would be as exciting as this first listen.
I don't think there is an "equal" per se... Black moon has a variety of paranormals and they come with extra gifts...Ultimately I would say it's more similar to good vs. evil type books.
She one of my really good narrators on audible thus far...
I love men who are hard to read...and Eric was an idiot who I could not help but love! Not to mention this abilities and his alpha tendancies
A woman who can hold herself in a pack of male shifters!
Rowan...I think I would have reacted just as she did when she first learnt about her new world but once she was in she was a great better half to Eric
Both versions are quite entertaining but I have a higher preference for audio than print...
The moment that Jax took off to save Kira with the nagging feeling that his life was about to change forever but unsure of how...I was hooked!
I would have to say the fight between Jax & Eric was a pretty good one!
I would say at some point Kira really irritated me....The fact that she denied her bond and almost cost Jax his life was definitely one that played on my emotions
Definitely a good start to this series and one that I would gladly say was worth my credit! ....although I got this listen for a better deal ($1.99) when I bought the print version through Amazon for about 5 bucks
Maybe it's me... but the story for this pair of mates did not send that jolt I felt as in the previous books... I felt that Nick and Calla were rushed to be mated. Yes, they has some sizzling moments, but alot of their inner struggles & how they overcame them was left out....I mean when Nick finally told Calla that he loved her, my reaction was: "What?Wait! How did that happen?" Honestly, what was happening around them was more entertaining than their story.
LOVED: When Blue came to the rescue and changed things as we (the readers) have known based on the prior book...Little by little I think I can understand why every female in past books have just downright drooled over Blue.....
HATED: The hunters...I would have hoped that introducing hunters would have given life to an epic battle of humans vs supernatural beings...but sadly, the hunters were more like pawns to be used left and right without a purpose....
For myself M.G. is not the worst narrator ever but her style was just not compatible with Kirsten Potter's style. In truth, I picked up this listen keeping an open mind because I was really hooked on this series and wanted to hear Nick's story. I would give M.G. another shot if she has a series narrator or a lone-standing book....
In my opinion I think if this was a movie it would be a "C-list" movie.....One of those that look pretty good to watch but only when there is absolutely nothing else out.
It's hard to say not worth a credit because this is book 6 into the series...If you are this far into the listens then you are hooked & probably are willing to say 'what the heck' even with the change in narrators...I opted to purchase this since it was on sale :)
I fell in love with this series, and boy what an beautiful journey it has been. The love story btw Brady & Liz was so mind blowing that this series has officially been bumped to highly recommended read.
The story picks up from Book 2... Brady having openly declared Liz his girl. The aftermath soon follows & and the story takes us though how this brand new relationship manages to bloom while facing the challenges that come with Brady's career. At times it felt as though Liz lost most & for a brief moment I thought they wouldn't make it to the end without at least breaking up once! But the author made sure that Liz did not have one shred of regret.... In truth if one door closes, another opens up! Which is exactly what happens to Liz! The sheer will of the their love was definately worth every moment!
I love how the author would build up a roadblock for the pair and right after they get past it out of nowhere another pops up! Especially toward the end... I will admit after Liz discovered something that Brady might have or might not have kept from her intentionally... for a brief moment, I thought he was guilty... But as I listened along it was just impossible to believe anything other than Brady really REALLY loved Liz.
Having JUST finished this listen, I must say I am utterly happy and in bliss but also sad and a bit miffed that it had to end.... This is definately a listen worth purchase or a credit! The narrator was perfect, you could easily identify each character (though she has a few moments where she got Brady & Clay's voices meshed! BUT it wasn't constant...For the most part (98%) the charcters could easily be identified!)
The author is definately an auto-download for me. I look forward to future listens of her books!
Reapers is an automatic download for me, and I have loved each an every book up until this one... There is just something (I can't quite pin-point one thing) that was missing. I feel as though the Picnic in the previous reads was far more that his story. London, well you would think being older would make her wiser but nope, she was just too wrapped up in her own thoughts to actually think that maybe, just maybe the man who she claims to care deeply for might be her salvation...
In the end it worked out...and it still is a good book but just not the wild ride I am used as in the previous books!
This was an amazing listen...I mean even the lust-filled, clothes-ripping moment was so hilarious that it just made this book so freaking good. "There is plenty of fish" in this book! I mean this book was that good that I was almost on team Lorenzo... His bad-boy persona was just so captivating! But alas, I have to say Austin hands down ultimately was the sizzling spark that gave this romance its worth! He was the perfect half to Lexi.... The characters are all different and independent and I can't wait for each brother's story...In short, when you think everything has been disclosed then BAM out comes another secret! It can only get better from here and which is why I would recommend this read.
There is just something sexy about a man who refuses to share his prize. Unlike the other book, Venom is possessive & protective of his mate. The pair complimented each other. I think I fell in love with Venom from the moment he refused to give up his prize just because she got sick and needed surgery merely hours after collaring her...At time Venom acted like an arse but he sure knew how to make up for his mistakes! No to mention his "no panties" rule.. that got a chuckle out of me!! The deep romance through the good and the bad times are what made me love this book most! I would have bought it with a credit...luckily I got it on sale!
Although I enjoyed the story... this bond was one that I really didn't connect with at least not on the same level as Book 1. Of course it has scorching moments but the I rather liked the idea that once the men claimed their reward they didn't share...Menace was the exception. I would still call this a great read though!
