I absolutely loved this trilogy! The way Nora describes the beautiful Irish countryside and with the narrator's excellent Irish accent made me feel like i was in Ireland for a holiday. Each book is definitely worth the credit. Someone rated the 3rd book as "boring" and "didn't even finish it" - which review nearly had me not buying the last book. But i am so glad i did as it was definitely not boring and i loved every second of it!

Defiant Highland beauty Fiona Sinclair is shocked by her brothers’ treachery. To seal a fragile truce, they have traded her hand in marriage to their sworn enemy, a man she has never met, a man she was raised to despise. With no choice but to wed, Fiona makes her own private vow: Though she may sacrifice her freedom, she will never surrender her heart. Commanded into marriage by the king, Myles Campbell is no more willing than his reluctant bride. Still, she is a rare beauty, passionate enough to warm even the coldest marriage bed.

The only reason why I struggled through this book, is because the story is really nice. The narrator has this habit of ending nearly each sentence on a higher note which makes her sound like she's in pain (or annoyed). Her accents are really excellent though. I wont purchase another book with the same narrator, but will with the same author.

After reading all the rave reviews over this book, I figured it must be really good. The first part of the book really bored me - I even skipped a few hours. I started listening again in Part 2 and only here did the story grab me. The middle part of the book is really excellent and you are completely pulled into the book and I found myself listening non-stop. The story had such an immense build-up, but the ending was just so unbelievably disappointing! I had a jaw-drop-"no-this-cant-be-the-end"-moment* when I heard the familiar voice "thank you for listening to audible". Even though the story was gripping, I'm not sure I would recommend it due to the awful ending.

I couldn't wait to purchase the 2nd book as the first one was so "wow". It is the first time that i listened to the 2nd book of a series directly after the first one - i usually take a break and listen to a different author. Ros Landor is an EXCELLENT narator, the story is realistic and gripping and it really sucks you into the lives of the characters. I am however very disappointed that the other books aren't recorded yet - i cannot WAIT to hear how the other wallflowers find their matches! I highly recommend both the first and the second book!
