I am a big Sophie Kinsella fan and this book didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed listening to it as the narrator was good and the story very entertaining. I would recommend it!
I didn't like the male character in this book at all... the whole story is just weird. Didn't even finish the book. It seems like he "forces" himself on her during the love scenes which is very off-putting.
The narrator made the 37yr old Duke sound like a 70-yr old which really spoilt the book for me. The story itself was ok - I do enjoy Stephanie Laurens' books in general.
This was my first Johanna Lindsey book and I absolutely loved it! The narration was great and the storyline was just fantastic. I immediately purchased another book from this author and also loved it!
In between my romance/mystery books, this was a nice relaxing listen that didn't require much concentration - but I still really enjoyed it though! Typical romance :-)
Nora never disappoints! Another book that had me listen non-stop. Gripping and interesting story - loved it!
Another one of Nora's excellent books! Loved the story, loved the twist, loved the ending - definitely worth the credit!
I absolutely loved this trilogy! The way Nora describes the beautiful Irish countryside and with the narrator's excellent Irish accent made me feel like i was in Ireland for a holiday. Each book is definitely worth the credit. Someone rated the 3rd book as "boring" and "didn't even finish it" - which review nearly had me not buying the last book. But i am so glad i did as it was definitely not boring and i loved every second of it!
The only reason why I struggled through this book, is because the story is really nice. The narrator has this habit of ending nearly each sentence on a higher note which makes her sound like she's in pain (or annoyed). Her accents are really excellent though. I wont purchase another book with the same narrator, but will with the same author.
I absolutely loved this book. It is such a touching, realistic story. I really enjoyed it - well worth the credit!
After reading all the rave reviews over this book, I figured it must be really good. The first part of the book really bored me - I even skipped a few hours. I started listening again in Part 2 and only here did the story grab me. The middle part of the book is really excellent and you are completely pulled into the book and I found myself listening non-stop. The story had such an immense build-up, but the ending was just so unbelievably disappointing! I had a jaw-drop-"no-this-cant-be-the-end"-moment* when I heard the familiar voice "thank you for listening to audible". Even though the story was gripping, I'm not sure I would recommend it due to the awful ending.
