When a half-century old skeleton tumbles out of the wall in the midst of the renovation of Cloak and Dagger Bookstore renovation, Adrien turns to hot and handsome ex-lover Jake Riordan -- now out-of-the closet and working as a private detective. Jake is only too happy to have reason to stay in close contact with Adrien, but there are more surprises in Adrien's past than either one of them expects -- and one of them may prove hazardous to Jake's own heart.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. The mystery was intriguing and I like how Jake and Adrien are finally on the same page.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dark Tide?

for me it was when they visited the owner of The Tide in the nursing home. I have made that trip quite often myself and relate to the situation all to well. Visiting a resident one day, and the next day they are gone with no warning. Brought back memories...

What does Chris Patton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Chris is very talented and his voice is also quite soothing. He fits these novels perfectly and lately is seems as if pairing the right book with the right narrator is very challenging. I love these stories as the written word, but Chris adds an extra dimension to them. To me they are all worth the credits. Good job, Josh.

If you could rename The Dark Tide, what would you call it?

    I wouldn't.....

    Any additional comments?

This is an Audible experience done right.

If you could sum up An Unlocked Heart in three words, what would they be?

    Wonderfully written story

What did you like best about this story?

I love how Leo stood up for Alex in front of his family. Great show of solidarity.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I'm going to say that I really like Nick Russo's narrative style in most books, but I feel as if he was phoning this one in. First off, the story took place in England if I'm not mistaken, so it kind of threw me that there was no British narrator. This being said, I could have overlooked that if he had sounded like the content was interesting or read with a bit more feeling. Unfortunately, his performance weighs down the great story that made me want to listen to it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

An Unlocked Heart - Throw Away the Key

    Any additional comments?

I'd love to listen to more of Ms. Well's books, with the proper narrator. If you want to hear Nick at his best, listen to Chasing the Sun. He does an amazing job with that.

All is not sparkly snowflakes and sweet candy canes in North Pole City. Office workers Tim and Noel do nothing all day but antagonize each other - petty fighting that might be based on hatred… or a heated mutual attraction. It's up to Jack Frost and his elf-friend Rudy to broach the hostilities and introduce some Christmas kisses, but is the Frost Prince up to the challenge of launching a new romance when someone's trying to break his holiday spirit?

I wish that I'd purchased this before Xmas. Such a heartwarming and charming story. Tim is such a sweetie with a big heart. Glad that Noel came around and ended up being someone worth loving. David Gillies is fast becoming one of my favorite narrators. His voices for Rudy and Jack are quite sexy. I hope we hear more from him.

I was hesitant to purchase this installment of the series until I listened to the sample. I liked the first book, but the narrator wasn't right for it. Mr. Gillies is perfect. I'm not sure if he's an Aussie, but he did a wonderful job with the accent. The only issue I had (and it's a personal thing) is that Greg never got comeuppance - at least on the page. Perhaps there will be a third book in the series?

Dating is hard enough. Throw in an incontinent Chihuahua, an unrequited love affair, a severe case of social anxiety disorder, a dying father, and a man-eating hog, and it becomes darned near impossible. Still, it takes two to tango - and when Tom Morgan, a mild-mannered assistant bank manager with a debilitating case of shyness, meets Frank Wells, who is straight off the farm and even shyer than he is, sparks start flying.

Would you listen to Shy again? Why?

Yes. I plan to many times. It is a hilarious, but heartwarming story about two socially
disfunctional people who find each other and fall in love under very stressful circumstances. It hit all of my emotional buttons.

What did you like best about this story?

The love story was great, Pedro is adorable, but the coup de grace was Stanley's comeuppance.

Which character – as performed by Tommy O'Brien – was your favorite?

    Frank's dad, Joe.

If you could rename Shy, what would you call it?

I can't think of a better title at this time.

    Any additional comments?

The narrator used just the right tones to express what each character was like and I hope we hear more from him. John Inman is great. Please publish all of his book in audio format.

Somewhere in the cobwebbed cellar of the decrepit antebellum mansion known as Ballineen are the legendary Lee bottles - and Austin Gillespie is there to find them. The only problem is they have different ideas.

What would have made A Vintage Affair better?

I wish Austin would have grown a pair and stood up to everyone who discounted him and his choice a bit more forcefully. I don't believe Jeff was good enough for him and I hate that he settled. There was also an unexpected plot twist that threw the whole story off for me. It's something that I don't like in my m/m books and had I been forewarned, I would have passed on it.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I am already a wine enthusiast so I thought the subject would be right up my alley.

Did Paul S. Fleschner do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

There really wasn't a lot of detail that added to anything I wanted to learn about.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

His southern accent was a bit overblown for Carson and almost nonexistent for Cormac. His interpretation of Austin's little brother was a bit too whiny IMO.

    Any additional comments?

I love Josh Lanyon but, this particular piece was not what I read him for.

The medications that Victor usually takes to control his abilities are threatening to destroy his liver, and his new meds aren't any more effective than sugar pills. Vic is also adjusting to a new PsyCop partner, a mild-mannered guy named Roger with all the personality of white bread. At least he's willing to spring for the Starbucks.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ms. Mattie- after Vic of course. She just brought something a little extra in my opinion.

Which character – as performed by Gomez Pugh – was your favorite?

I'm hard pressed to pick just one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me scream at Vic to "Not drink the kool aid!" - or coffee in this case.

    Way up there...

What was one of the most memorable moments of Serenading Stanley?

    When they saved Sylvia.

What does Tyler Stevens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I didn't hear Arthur's voice in my head, but Tyler's rendition is perfect. He does a wonderful job telling this story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Many of Stanley's experiences mirrored my own. Not all of them good. They took me back to some very vulnerable times that I would not want to repeat. I certainly laughed out loud but teared up some, too.

    Any additional comments?

John Inman has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I hope that his entire catalog of stories become available through Audible. With good narrators of course.

Since Hank Calder's four-year-old niece Josie came to live with him, his life has been plenty dramatic, thank you, and the last thing he needs is a swishy, flaming twinkie to complicate things. But when Justin, the daycare worker at his gym, offers to do something incredibly nice for Hank - and for Josie - Hank is forced to reconsider. Justin may be flamboyant in his speech and gestures, but his heart and kindness are as rock steady and dependable as anyone, even Hank, could ask for.

If you could sum up Turkey in the Snow in three words, what would they be?

    Cute, funny, touching.

What other book might you compare Turkey in the Snow to and why?

The Men of Smithfield: David and Seth. Both stories involve an uncle raising a niece because of the absence of the sister - one was a deadbeat mom and the other passed away. Both men are leery (sp) of entering into another relationship because of a bad one. They both love and want the best for their nieces, but are a bit clueless on how to go about some things. Also, initially, Seth and Hank looked down on Justin and David because of pre conceived notions.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Hank was explaining the concept of Turkey in the Snow to Justin.

If you could rename Turkey in the Snow, what would you call it?

    I wouldn't.

    Any additional comments?

This is another classic Amy Lane and I loved it as usual. This is also only the second book I have listened to narrated by Gomez Pugh. Hear this authors. If you want your stories to sell, hire this man. He was perfect. I am looking forward to listening to more books narrated by him. Ohmygah!

Austin Glass seems to have it all: a loving fiancée, a future with the FBI, and a healthy-sized trust fund. At least on the surface. He also has a grin and a wisecrack for every situation. But the smile he presents to the world hides a painful past he’s buried too deeply to remember, and his quips mask bitterness and insecurity. Austin has himself and most of the whole world fooled - until he meets a redhead in a pair of bunny slippers.

What did you love best about Shattered Glass?

I really like how honest and brutal Austin could be. He didn't pull any punches and gave as good as he got. I also appreciate the fact that he stuck to his guns no matter what anyone thought.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is hard. I love Rabbit, Austin and Nikolai. They each have their own endearing quality.

What does Joseph Northton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He was wonderful with the accents and snark.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It saddened me a bit because each character had his own hardship. Even though Austin was brought up in a wealthy family, he was basically blackmailed into being someone he was not. He also grew up with the knowledge that his own mother had no love for him and his father really didn't either. That messes with you no matter how much money you have.
The other young men had each other to love at least. I laughed out loud many times and could have cried, but didn't.

    Any additional comments?

I know that the author had some health issues that prevented the writing of the sequel, but I hope that all is well and we get to revisit these characters soon.
