The detail given is fantastic, that the character took sooooo long to realise who was behind everything was very frustrating.
The characters are interesting and well described.
I did enjoy the listen but it took almost too long to get going and almost too long to finish.
I almost didn't buy this book. I read the first review listed giving it 2 stars. Then I read some of the 5 stars reviews. After debating for 2 days and reading more reviews, I decided to buy it and find out for myself. I am glad I decided to buy it and I was not disappointed. I LOVED IT! I immediately knew what the secret was, not the details, but I figured it out (not telling-I don't like spoilers), but it did not deter me from continuing to read. Tragedy in Kyrie's life forces her to grow up in her early adult life and face some tough decisions. When she is at her lowest point, VR (don't want to tell you his name, you will find out at the same time Kyrie finds out) comes to the rescue. Talk about a knight in shining armor, he fits the description. After 1 year of receiving the checks, it's time for Kyrie to pay her debt. The sex scenes are deliciously hot, hard and erotic. VR is very explicit in his descriptions of the things he is going to do to Kyrie, his mouth is dirty and wicked. I wish the ending had gone into more details and explored Kyrie's and VR's relationship more, especially after the bonus scene. I found it to be a good smutty read.
Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne were outstanding in the narration of the story
Ok so the other million reviewers have given you the plot and raved about the characters so I won't add to that. I had a few problems with this book. The main one being the repetition. It seems like every second page Rylee is biting her lip again. While you see this in lots of romance novels the only time you see it in real life is on someone with a nervous habit they can't break.
Next I hate the ending. Not a cliffhanger, not an important point in the story, just an abrupt "oops the publisher must want this so I will just stop here". Having read the draft lead in to the next book this somehow important point in the story is just skipped over. We go from devastated heroine to happy families without any explanation or resolution of the situation.
On the positive side, the book is really well written. The sex scenes are well written without falling into the porn category. What it really needs is a stronger plot. There is plenty of opportunity to bring a bit of action and adventure into the story given the situation of the boys in The House but this never eventuates.
The book is sufficiently well written that I will buy the second one in the hope that a stronger plot emerges
Tatiana Sokolov reading of the story was good for the female voices but not so good for the male voices.
A fantastically erotic, romantic, and entertaining journey to a galaxy far, far, away! Human space pirates, totally sexy aliens, intergalactic political intrigue, and the right combination of heartbreak and drama make this Sci-Fi Erotic Romance a great read!
Even though the book is sic-fi, I'm not sure that being a fan of science fiction is a requirement for enjoying this book. Though many of the characters are alien, most in this story resemble humans, have many human characteristics, including a full-range of human feeling and emotions. It's these emotions (combined with a healthy dose of physical attraction) that forge a connection between Kane and Sa'Mya. They are so entirely different in so many ways, but both have experienced heart-breaking loss and are unfortunate victims of circumstance. At its heart, this story is about two characters' journeys to overcome their differences and find a path towards healing and ultimately the love they both deserve. Kane and Sa'Mya have fantastic sexual chemistry and share some very steamy scenes, as do other characters in the story; this book is HOT!
Though this is the second book in the series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. I haven't read the first book, Dangerously Mine, but after reading this book, it definitely has a place on my TBR list

Caught on Camera is author Kim Law's debut novel. She uses the tried and true romance plot line of the wealthy golden boy who wants to rescue his working girl love. Law keeps it fresh and new making it ring true in this Cinderella-esque story. Is JP Davenport really the perfect man his public persona paints him to be? And Vega Zaragoza has had a taste of wealth and fame and isn't so easily charmed by JP's money.
JP Davenport has spent his life being groomed to follow in his father's footsteps in a life of politics. He is Georgia's golden boy, accustomed to women swooning at his feet and generally getting what he wants. Only, he isn't so sure he knows what he wants out of life. Politics was his parents' life, and now that his dad is gone, JP's mom is determined to see her favorite son step into the role.
Vega Zaragoza seems content with her role behind the camera as a photo journalist. So content that she protests a little too much whenever anyone suggests that she would be great in a role in front of the camera. She's done her time in the spotlight as a former supermodel and Vega found that sometimes the spotlight can burn.
Vega and JP cross paths when she is sent to film a celebrity golf tournament in which JP is playing. He promptly turns on the charm and is surprised when Vega declines to fall into his arms like so many other women have done. She's been involved with a politician before and has no desire to go back down that road. But an exclusive interview with the reclusive JP Davenport could be the big break her career needs. JP asks Vega on a date in hopes of wooing her into his arms and his bed. Vega agrees in hopes of wooing JP in front of her camera.
What they don't know is that they are each hiding secrets. Vega was once the star player in a political scandal and she will do anything to keep her past in the past. As her feelings for JP grow, she is equally determined not to let her past hurt his future. JP is hiding behind a facade of perfection and is desperate not to ruin his image as his mother's perfect son. A learning disability doesn't fit with the image of the glamorous playboy and brilliant politician that he has been groomed to be.
Can Vega and JP be honest with themselves, each other and the public? Can their relationship survive the truth? Caught on Camera is lovely romance and well worth the listen to find out if JP and Vega have the strength to be honest with each other and find love.
Listeners who like Nora Roberts will love this book it has a bit more spice. The book has some well written sex scenes that are not too explicit.
Natalie Ross is one of my favourite narrators ans she did not disappoint with her wonderful delivery of the story.
This scorred 3.5 stars because it was very slow to start, 8 chapters before the H and h even meet. A lot of unnecessary details made the first half of the book really drawn out. But most people loved the book so maybe it is just my expectations were too high because of the good reviews.
Tattoos Dots tells the story of Easton Crawford, who let's face it was kind of a jerk. As the story starts out, he is divorcing his high school sweetheart. Since he became a model, he has cheated on her repeatedly because she was "nagging him". The only good thing that came out of his marriage was his daughter. He is fighting his ex for custody. The divorce has been long and drawn out. All the while, Easton is still a total jerk.He screws anything that walks, including his divorce lawyer. Then the unexpected happens, his ex is killed in a car crash. Now Easton is a single dad. He moves to NY to start over and opens a bar.
Brooke Bradley is in an equally horrible situation. She is in a bad relationship with her boyfriend. He is a loser and she is not even sure why she is with him. To top it off, he may even be cheating on her!!!
Her best friend gives her a singles cruise for her birthday. Brooke goes on the cruise with her BFF.
Easton is also on the cruise due to his best friend talking him into a week away.
Intsanly Easton and Brooke are drawn to each other, but Brooke is still with her boyfriend. She does not act on her feelings, but enjoys the week with Easton as friends. She knows there is something there, but fights it.
When Brooke gets home from the cruise, she finds out there is something really wrong with her health. Easton swoops in. He becomes her knight in shinning armor.
If you like insta love .... this is the book for you!!
The narrators were OK and read a dual narrator book the way I like it with the male and females reading their roles.
Her Only Desire is the first book in Delilah Devlin's Sultry Summer Nights series, and I really enjoyed listening to it. It was sexy and interesting, and I really liked the characters. I think this book was a great start to this series, and I can't wait to read more in the series. I really enjoyed the secondary characters as well as Tilly and Boone, and I can't wait to get to know these guys better. I think fans of BDSM erotica will really enjoy this one.
When Boone Benoit returns to his hometown in Louisiana, no one is happy to see him. Everyone thinks that he is fixing up his childhood home to sell it, and to them it can't happen fast enough. Tilly is working as a waitress in order to take care of her brother after she had to see their family home in order to pay for his group home. When a job posting keeps showing up that happens to be in her specialty offering a generous salary, she can't resist the opportunity. The job is working for Boone though, and she knows that she should stay away from him. Not only does he bring out her desire, but he was also her cousin's boyfriend and the subject of the scandal that rocked their town. Despite everyone's warnings to stay away from him though, she decides to take the job and see where things go between them. But as Boone draws her into his world, she quickly realizes there is more to Boone and his desires than she knew. Can Tilly learn to shed her inhibitions and give up control to Boone?
I liked both Boone and Tilly. I thought that they were easy to become invested in, and they were interesting. Boone was a total alpha and liked control, but he was also really tender and gently with Tilly. I liked that he eased her into his world and was patient with her. He was determined to figure out what had happened all those years ago, but he also was protective of Tilly and was willing to think about her and what the truth would do if it could possibly hurt her. He was sexy and strong and I liked that he was willing to work as hard as his men and didn't expect something out of them that he wasn't willing to do himself. Tilly was so dedicated to her brother and in taking care of him. She was caring and kind, and she didn't judge Boone like everyone else did. I liked that she would comfort him when he needed it and that she was also not afraid to stand up to him either. They worked really well together and had a ton of chemistry. These two were super hot together, and it was clear that they clicked from the very start.
Overall, this was a great start to the series and I really enjoyed reading this book. It was sexy and the sex scenes were hot. Tilly and Boone were really steamy, and I thought that the scenes were written well. I did think that there were parts of this story, mainly the beginning, that moved a bit slowly for me. It was a bit hard to get into, but once the story started to pick up I really liked Tilly and Boone and was curious to see what would happen next. I think that erotica fans will really like this story, especially those that enjoy BDSM stories. This one does have BDSM aspects to it, but it wasn't overly dark and I think that even those that might be wary of that should still give this one a try. I look forward to reading more from Delilah Devlin, and I am excited to see where she takes this series
JF Harding was outstanding with the narration of the story
I always feel a bit badly rating less than three stars. I know this book/series really worked for a good number of people. Sadly, I'm just not one of them. So why? I came up with four main reasons...
First, aside from the sex, the main part of the plot was the re-telling of personal histories. Nothing really happened in real time except sex or situations that lead to sexual situations. 4 hours into the book no sex had happened so it took a while for even that to happen. I needed some real life stuff. It also didn't make sense to me that they shared their deepest hurts so quickly. They both were people whose trust had been horribly broken so the sharing didn't ring true for me, especially considering there was very, very little D/s trust building IMO. (Although honestly the was very little BDSM play. Submission, yes, but very little BDSM play.
Second, I have a hard time with what I feel like is the cookie cutter build up leading to MMF ménage. I takes away from the excitement when I know pretty much what will happen next.
Third, Marcus. Although I liked him as a character, but he felt out of place to me. (view spoiler) It almost felt like inviting Dr. Phil into your bedroom to supervise.
Fourth, Lauren wasn't a convincing Dominatrix to me. I realize she had gone through some stuff, but she went from being a bit weak (IMO), insecure, and uncertain to Super Dom overnight. I just couldn't buy it.
I've read Natural and liked that book by this author and but this one just didn't click with me. There are a lot of other people liked this book, so keep that in mind when considering my review. 2.5 stars
Maxine Mitchell did a solid job with the narration
I will start by saying that this is a well written story but it did not work for me. I understand dark moments but this book was dark from start to finish without a touch of light at all. There are plenty of erotic scenes in this book but in my opinion there was very little dialog between Gemma and Phillipe so it was hard to sense a building relationship or love. The different POVs were hard to follow as well. Also, it is so strange but I kept feeling like I was listening a historic erotic novel instead of it truly being modern times...I don't want to provide any spoilers to explain that thought so I'll just leave my comment vague. From seeing all the other 5 star reviews I am in the minority and I originally gave this book 4 stars but as time went on I just couldn't sit with that so changed my review to 3 stars. Yes, it is a well written book and based on the reviews there are plenty of people that loved it but again it just didn't work for me. If you like books that are dark from start to finish without a happy-ever-after ending then this is your book.
Angela Starling did a good job with the delivery of the story.
After Graduation starts where Submissive Training Center left us. We get to see how Sir and Brie are learning about each other in every day life. They learn their limits and boundaries as a D/s couple. They have to deal with the obstacles that every day throws at them.
There are the important lessons to learn, the sensual scenes and the necessary punishments. Both grow in the process and also deal with their pasts.
And then there is this one intense scene...intense in so many ways that I think it's the moment they both realise how deep their connection is and that there is no doubt this will last forever. I don't wanna spoil it, so just a quote from it.
"Sir smiled down at Brie. "Why are you surprised? I would never ask you to do something that I was unwilling to do myself."
It's so wonderfully written that you have the feeling to be so close to them, that you feel what they feel. And once again, all aspects of the BDSM lifestyle are represented with respect and honesty. It's hard work and desires a lot of communication and trust.
I'm so glad that this series will continue, because I already miss Sir and Brie.
Pipa Jane was again outstanding with the delivery of the story.
