Where do we come from? Who created us? Why are we here? These questions have puzzled us since the dawn of time, but when it became apparent to Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show that the world was about to end, they embarked on a massive mission to write a book that summed up the human race: What we looked like; what we accomplished; our achievements in society, government, religion, science, and culture - all in a lavishly produced audiobook.

The first thing you should know is that I gave this book four stars instead of five because it just didn't live up to how good the first Daily Show book [America: The Book] was. In fact, if you haven't listened to that one, do it first. It's funnier.

    THAT BEING SAID,

This book really is great. The "new" Daily Show cast never phones it in and every personality leaps into your ears. The book is whimsical, angry, funny, politically crazy, and everything else we look forward to from Jon Stewart and his gang. Listen to this one and America: The Book. you won't be too disappointed.

A tale of archetypal heroes and sweeping adventures, of dragons and princes and evil wizards, here is epic fantasy as only Stephen King could envision it.

When I first picked up The Eyes of The Dragon, I found it to be a fun read, laid out in a very storybook format. It still remains one of my favorite books and, thanks to Bronson Pinchot, is made even better. Pinchot's pacing works perfectly with the story and hearing it for the first time just served to remind me why I loved it in the first place.

This remarkable biography presents Abraham Lincoln as we have never before seen him. The insightful and vibrant narrative draws extensively on diaries, letters, and other primary sources to provide a remarkably close-up view of Lincoln: the boy, the homespun politician, the president, the military leader, the man with his family. Philip B. Kunhardt, Jr., Philip B. Kunhardt III and Peter W. Kunhardt give us the fascinating life, from birth to death, of the extraordinary man who was the 16th president of the United States.

I was originally just trying to find what Frank Langella was narrating. I happened to see this book and, a lover of historical prose, I was immediately thrilled by the combination of interesting story and understated narration. This book will seduce you, which is great because it truly is a great book.
