I love books about relationships and how they work out; this has many relationships and problems; seeing how they developed from beginning to end held me captive. The emotion of the characters; the love, trials and forgiveness which is true in our daily lives.
I liked everything about the story. Zoe was a very strong but loving personality. I enjoyed all characters though.
The scene when Ava told her husband Jordan to take Jake home and why she told him.
The car accident with Penny and Hobbie, jake and Demeter which built the entire story from their graduation night.
At the beginning I felt the book was draggy compared to other books but I suggest stick with it because all the interactions of the characters and their bonds with love and forgiveness is worth it all!
Interesting, kept my interest, didn't want to put it down.
None, it's a book of it's own!
I enjoyed all parts of this audio!!!
When the girls came home for Christmas and finally worked out life to be a family!!
If you like relationship books this is excellent!!!
I've had a near death experience and to hear someone else's take on a near death experience was interesting to me.
Her candid story.
She was very good.
The moment her son said he knew he would die.
It was a totally different experience than mine.
It is up there with my favorites though I tried to read it before; I think it was a timing audio!
Each character had their own essence and all were favorites!
I didn't have a favorite I loved them all.
I would leave it as is! Excellent title!!
If you have trouble getting into this book try later; it's well worth the listen!
The storyline was excellent ranging from emotion of tears to joy! Could easily have a sequel!
This is a book in itself!
Not that I remember but the narration was very good!
Same as title of book.
I didn't want this book to end. The characters were enticing! It is a beautiful yet somewhat sad book. I recommend if you like relationship books and family!
It brought back original characters, Maggie and Joe and the story flowed with another great beach story! It's like being with all these characters!
The characters; feeling a part of all of them and the wonderful beach where it began with Maggie and Joe. The characters were alive and vibrant in their parts and in solving problems.
The speaking parts were good but the laugh all seemed very much the same.
I liked Alison and her grandson Christopher along with Grace; I enjoyed their storyline and the excitement of Grace and her enthusiasm for everything in life. I also liked Lindsey and Matthew though their storyline was heavier and more serious the beach helped put things in prospective.
I am excited the Georgia Bockoven's books are in audio. I have loved this series and await many more!!
Yes, it's a wonderful story of people who become very much a part of me while i listen. Again in a small town where everyone seems to know each other's business but the characters involved. Captivating!
Mac and Grace-both very good characters with history of families but haven't thought about dating. They are super great parents with charming personalities.
Therese Plummer is close to number one in all narrations I've heard. She's gifted! Always superb.
It held my interest and I listened as much as I could each day without missing anything.
Read this series in order. If you like small towns, people of long ago this series is for you. I found it delightful. I have now finished all that has been written including book 6.
Small town, life's issues, interesting
Iris and Seth go hand in hand as favorites because they have a life history growing up. Their honesty and desire to be of help where others might turn their backs. This small town community is very intriguing! A very good series.
Therese Plummer does an excellent narration of all characters and all books I have listened to; she definitely has a gift portraying all characters with individuality.
There were both laughing moments but I felt this book dealt with some serious life issues making it more serious. It's handled very well.
My husband and I both enjoyed this entire series so it's not just a woman's read. Very well done. Love the town of yesterday and the people who all have their own humor.
Yes, if the friend likes relationships, adventure and small towns I would recommend the entire series not just one book. Each book of the series flows into the other and I would read them in order. I have enjoyed the characters in the series!
When Peyton went to help Ted's daughter who is 15 pregnant and how much Ted never bothered to get to know his children though he could as a doctor read his patients. The end was also good but I will let the reader or listener find that for themselves.
Yes I have. Therese Plummer is excellent in all narrations!
This was probably the most subdued book. I laughed several times. That does not make it a bad read/listen it was an excellent book.
I recommend this series to everyone. It's fun and interesting!
It's rated tops on my list! While it took me a couple of chapters to learn all the characters it was well worth the read!!! If there were ten******** I would give this book ten stars! I definitely will read/listen again.
Mattie is my favorite character being a grandmother and taking in her daughter's five small children raising them in a very good home with great values yet what happens to these five girls and how do they turn out!?! A must read!
The piece quilt and it's meaning and what will happen to this special Mitchell quilt! There were many other scenes as well. There isn't a dull moment with this book!
All of them! Everyone had their own problems and value; taking them one at a time would be fruitful!
This is a must read book! There is sadness, joy, complications in relationships but what Mattie achieves through her beliefs along with Harry makes for a stronger belief. I found the entire story with hope and inspiration leaving me changed. Absolutely amazing story!!!!The scenery on the farm is appealing to ones heart. The title "A Slender Thread" is so much more than a title!! I enjoyed this magnificent audio!!!
Everything! The relationships intertwine bringing laughter and tears! Lainey and Eric are total opposites yet they love each other even when Laine must go and take care of her father whom she fought for attention many years now dementia is taking over for Dr. Paxton. Al comes to town working for Eric until he needs to move on until he meets a boy taking care of his Mother who has M.S. and their is a woman he has fallen for but he leaves. I loved the whole story; it's simply beautiful how everyone helps each other!
When Lainey comes home to find Eric moved out of their home and what followed. Also what happens to Al why and when he returns.
Several are my favorite. I think when Liane's Father comes to her house to make apologies for their past relationship. The whole book to me was a learning experience of looking at others problems and not judging but helping and loving..
I think this is a wonderful series! I love the town and the people. Robyn Carr draws you into all the personalities and the setting. Therese Plummer is excellent as always!
