Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

It's not MY granny's bedtime story but it is very funny! My kids are all grown up but I know there were times that I wanted to say just that- and probably did!

The bed and breakfast was hidden in the hills of West Virginia. Wary guests wondered how it could stay in business at such a creepy, remote location, especially with its bizarre, presidential decor and eccentric proprietor. With the event hotel for the national Iron Woman triathlon accidentally overbooked, competitor Maria was forced to stay at the Rushmore. But after checking into her room, she quickly realized she wasn't alone....

This is one of the scariest books I have listened to in a long while! Living in the country and working the late shift, I was running to my house when I got home from work! I've always loved reading horror and am no stranger to the thing under the stairs and this book was great fun!

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Things are heating up! I love these stories! I've also become used to the inconsistencies in Roy Dotrice's performance. After all, as another reviewer pointed out, he has alot of characters to try and keep up with and so the 4 stars not 5. Still, don't let that stop you from getting this, it is a GREAT story! I actually considered buying the next books and reading them but that would make for some very boring commutes to and from work and as the saying goes- in for a penny, in for a pound- and I am in!

Although I am not crazy about the narrator he did a better job in this story but I still cannot give the performance a full 5 stars which is to bad because this is an amazing story! I do alot of listening on my daily commute back and forth to work and I find myself talking to myself quite a bit!
Also, thank you for making these stories 1 credit- that is much appreciated! Love love love Audible!

In a time long forgotten, a preternatural event threw the seasons off balance. In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

Loved this story but not too crazy about the narrator. Quite often the beginning of a paragraph got repeated as if he lost his place while reading and started it over again. I will get the 2nd story in the series because I am hooked but I don't think it is worth 2 credits. I will probably just buy it outright. If this was a great performance by the narrator, I would gladly save up 2 credits for it, but it isn't. Audible should put it down to 1 credit like almost everything else is.

Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But that truth offers little solace, since Jamie realizes he might find himself pointing a weapon directly at his own son - a young officer in the British army. And Jamie isn't the only one with a tormented soul - for Claire may know who wins the conflict, but she certainly doesn't know whether or not her beloved Jamie survives.

First off, if you are a fan of the Highlander series by DG than you already know but if you love the idea of going back in time and then forward again, then you will love this book. DG will tell you that you can pick any book in the series and it will stand alone and she is of course right but you can also get caught up in a story that will become one of your all time favorites! This a great story and has a bit of everything from tears to laugh out loud funny! Don't wait another second, you won't be disappointed!
