Corey Olsen is a medieval scholar and a professor at a bricks-and-mortar university as well as an online professor. HIs podcasts of The Tolkien Professor are in-depth discussions of The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and other Tolkien works. He also founded the Mythgard Institute for online studies.
I am so pleased that Corey narrated this himself. He has a wonderful way of expressing his enthusiasm for Tolkien's work that comes across well.
I rationed myself to a half hour of listening a day to make it last longer.
This is my third time listening to old man's war, because I enjoy John Scalzi's writing so much and thoroughly enjoy William Dufris' narration.
Exciting Expanse novel
The small, human moments are so well written; a father giving his daughter freedom, a scientist waking up to her own emotional landscape ("it's kind of our honeymoon"), and our old friend Detective Miller with his awful hat.
Jefferson Mays, the narrator of the first two books. Or - best - William Dufris, the best narrator I have ever heard. I have bought some Audible books just because Dufris is the narrator, and I am never disappointed. Davies has good character voices, but his text narration. has. too. much. space. between. words. It's distracting. (Sorry, Erik.)
Come explore The Expanse. Save the world...if you can.
