I found it interesting that it was written by two women from a male perspective - a teen male, at that. I'm definitely interested in seeing the movie now. The narration was awesome and he really gave a voice to the individual characters.

A classic since its original landmark publication in 1980, Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States is the first scholarly work to tell America's story from the bottom up - from the point of view of, and in the words of, America's women, factory workers, African-Americans, Native Americans, the working poor, and immigrant laborers.

This is such a great representation of History that we never learn about in school. This should be required reading in every high school in the US. I've learned so much from it and can't help but share the information with friends. Although Howard Zinn has passed on, the narration by his brother makes it special, and kudos to him for the hours spent narrating it.

If you love adventure, great storytelling, and a series, read this book. Robert McCammon gives you a tale of Matthew Corbett that you won't want to put down. So much so, that you'll want to get the rest of the series to read them continuously without interruption. Five stars all the way around, including Edoardo Ballerini's masterful narration.

Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.
