I have read all of Jeaniene Frost's books and loved the journey. The Prince Novel side books are fun from beginning to end. "Twice Tempted" is a must read. Vald and Leila are a couple with problems. Leila, a human that has gained unique powers after being hit with lightning finds she can strike out with electricity from her right arm, and is able to gain knowledge about those she touches. Of course this makes it hard to live as a normal human without frying someone with a friendly hug. Now her new bow is a very old vampire, Vlad. When they hook up her life becomes a roller coster of adventures. These two don't seem to think it is possible to live with each other to find they can't live without each other. Love blossoms amongst mayhem. And yet you will be laughing throughout the whole story with the humor of Jeaniene Frost. The narration by Tavia Gibert was done beautifully. All I need to know is when is the next book coming out?
New Series, New fantasy world, New rules, Great new characters--love them all. Especially the Grandmother--she adds so much to the story.
This is a new fantasy in Houston Texas--new rules to this magical existence. Great pace to the story--can not say enough about the characters( they are mine now). I know Houston which also brings this story to my yes zone of books.
Ilona Andrews you are a writer that hits the spot! applause to you--need more soon PLEASE
I took this book on a whim--I was not disappointed. The story was compelling, and well structured. Every step in the story pulls you to the next. Characters are interesting, and hold your interest to want to learn more. It is not my normal choice of books, but I'm so happy I did read it. Now I need Book 2.
I have read and enjoyed the Iron Druid Chronicles. But to be honest the story was not connecting as I wanted it to. Yes I'm the reader and require my stories to flow. I started to see each book as another romp with only some characters to be constant. Well I must say thank you. "Shattered" is the glue that holds the tales together. It brought things together to make sense--even to Atticus O’Sullivan, the Iron Druid himself. I can not wait until book 8 to see where they will go from here. Love the new character, Owen Kennedy, very colorful. And Granuaile has helped the story since she was added.
I have been waiting for this book 8. "Indexing" was excellently written but it kept me waiting for October. Great story that lets you see how the first born of Faery are up to their mischief again, but October will show them again. Great Story--can't wait for book 9.
I want to write to you Ms. Kim Harrison, You have brought us a world of a Witch that lived in and old church with vampires and pixies and deal with demons too. Rachel has been learning and growing more powerful as the series has grown. This was a great 13th book. It said good bye to some and let us see the ending of an era for Rachel. BUT--we need more. This is not an end to Rachel's story, her story continues . Yes it is true you have done a great job with this last book--so you call it. But we as readers need more--Rachel's wedding and a baby--for starts. We need more! What would this child bring into play--fun, fun, fun! You have to let us see Rachel as a mother. Write novellas or a group of short stories if you feel you can not do a novel that let us see what life is like for Rachel in the future. At least one more book. Please-we are not tired of Rachel yet.
Thank you Marguerite Gaven, You have done a great job over the 13 books in this series. I hear your voice and I'm right back into the story where we left off the last time. Thank you
I thought the book was a great adventure. The last book left us behind the wall in Blackveil and I have to say a hard book to continue a series from. What could you write to top that adventure and keep the story moving forward.
I really didn't know where this story would take us without letting us down. Well Kristen Britain, you did it. The book took us to newer and higher places I didn't expect to go to at all. Excellent transition story and one that I couldn't but down. The questions left unanswered are a great opening to the next part of Karigan's story and leaving us wanting the next book. Is the information Karrigan brought him going to be helpful? Has our green rider changed from her experiences? Will there be a war?
Extremely well written and Ellen Archer, your performance I always applaud. Thank you and I can't wait for the next book
Deborah Harkness trilogy has ended perfectly--you must read them all to travel on an a journey of love--time--and change. You will not regret purchasing all three books. It must be read, because a movie, which I hope they make, will never cover everything that is in this trilogy.
Thank you Deborah Harness-Please write more.
Thank your Jennifer Ikeda- you read these books with passion--great job.
I have read and enjoyed all the Sookie Stackhouse books and miss not having new ones, so this was a great return to that world. Johanna Parker did a fantastic job reading each of the short stories and I feel made the return trip 100%, because you could feel you were back in Sookie's world hearing her voice. Thank you for this treat.
Laurell K Hamilton--I am a fan and have read all of your Merry Gentry series and Anita Blake series.. But this book is falling short I'm sorry to say. It's too repetitive and it has a "Ladida" quality that makes it more YA and it is not a YA. I think the voice of the reader ads to that feeling. Sorry-but it's not my favorite by far.
The “Indexing” by Seanan McGuire is truly an innovative story. A must read-to clear your pallet of the “same-o, same-o” books on the shelf. Refreshing and defining new tale that must be told. Great Job! I recommend it highly.
