What did you like best about The Target? What did you like least?

This was an interesting book. It felt like part 1 was written by one writer and part 2 by another. I loved part 2 but i had to go through part 1 to get there which was a real challenge...

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting was the North Korea part; the agent visiting the concentration camp. The least interesting was part 1, it was slow and boring.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes

Did The Target inspire you to do anything?

    No

    Any additional comments?

I am glad I didn't give up while reading part 1, almost did. Part 2 was awesome!

When Pendergast arrived at the ski resort during the trial and revealed some interesting facts about the way the town had been running some of the real state developments...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I really miss Mitch Rapp and i am trying hard to find a replacement. I do think that Jack has the potential but the story is so slow, and long. It is getting better now that I manage to start the second part - but it was an effort to get here. Not sure I will be able to finish.

What was most disappointing about Lee Child’s story?

    Slow and not so interesting

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I like Dick Hill, he is ok

What character would you cut from Without Fail?

none in particular, just more actions

    Any additional comments?

I am seriously considering giving up on Jack Reacher's series. He is not even close to become my Mitch Rapp's replacement - maybe the Gray Man might.

Would you listen to The Book of Spies again? Why?

The topic about the library of gold is interesting

I am looking for a replacement for Mitch Rapp; not even close. Like I said, the book is interesting but a bit slow and not enough action.

the one with the most action at the very end; better not describe it

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Best-selling author Dee Henderson's acclaimed novels are an irresistible blend of suspense, romance and spirituality. More than a million copies of Henderson's books are in print, and she has won many prizes, including the Christy, the RITA and the National Reader's Choice Award. FBI special agent Dave Richman loves hostage negotiator Kate O'Malley. But keeping her safe is another matter entirely, one that requires deep trust in God.

I really wished they had been clear how religious this book is. I felt like the writer was trying to convince me to become an evangelic which I have no intention to do.

I resent paying for a book with such goals. I will definitely request a refund and I suggest Audible being more clear about such topics( religion) which is a very personal choice, not something someone expects to find in a spy book...

From now on I will make sure NEVER to order another book by Dee Henderson.
