I probably would not listen to it again because it is very long.
I really enjoyed the last two-thirds of this book with the Hungarian perspective.
Great, likable characters.
The book would improve significantly with a believable storyline and an ending. There is no ending.
The first two Clifton chronicles were great! This one was pathetic. The South American storyline was too far-fetched and the ending was non-existent. Jeffrey Archer ripped us off. I would throw the book at the wall in anger except that it was an audiobook and I love my IPod.
Perhaps but the South American accent was atrocious.
Loved the election, loved the reading of the will, loved the adoption, loved Seb's time at the boardinghouse in London. The South American story line/Harry posing as a pilot: dumb.
I am so mad at the way the book ended. I rightfully figured that the third book would tie up The Clifton Chronicles. This was the worst cliffhanger ever!
At the top!
The entire book was memorable. But the author's relationship with her Bubbie is the most heartwarming of all.
LOVED the accents. I have selected this for my book club and have encouraged my friends to listen to the book to get the full effect.
I laughed at the author's comments, reflections, the discussions on sex and infidelity. I cried for the heartbreak of their living situation and their health problems. No spoilers here.
This is one of the best books I have read in a long, long time. It was so real, so believable. I wish Ms. Widmer had written more books for all of us to enjoy.
I don't know.
Anger, sadness, disappointment that others thought this was a funny book.
It was awful.
Confusing, not compelling, quit before I finished the book.
