This series has kept me interested all the way through. Sometimes when listening to a book, I find that I have to rewind it and listen again because the book has not kept my interest and my mind has wandered. This did not happen even once through twelve books in this series. It just kept me wanting more, and I could hardly wait to get on with it. Take a chance and give this series a try.
I just love a good legal thriller... since Amazon bought Audible the categories are getting a little confusing for me. Audible used to have these books in "Legal Thriller" category. Now most books are listed under "Suspense" and this makes it difficult for me to find books that I so love.
This is a "new to me" series and I must say that I am enjoying it tremendously. I loved this book so much that I immediately got all five of the books in this series.
Well, worth the credit and the time... enjoy.
This book is a long one. However, that is one of the things that I liked about it. It did not rush through the different ups and downs, or ins and outs of each scene. You were brought along the adventures and given a front row seat. Well worth the time and credit.
Finding out who committed the crime. Although, I had strong suspicions it is nice to have them confirmed.
The dog in the back of the truck.
When Dana realizes who the villan is.
I listen to books to be entertained and this book entertained me. I have several books by Tami Hoag and "Envy" was the best in my opinion.
I admire Michelle for coming out of the abyss with such a good attitude. She survived the unimaginable. While this is not the great American novel, it makes you stop and think. Personally, these three women deserve the admiration of all of us for surviving the horrific ordeal. I don't think that I could have survived.
I wish only good things for all of them.
I am sorry, but Puller is not measuring up to Reacher or Rapp. This book entertains and keeps your interest. That is the main thing that I need from a book. Possibly, because I am such a Mitch Rapp and Jack Reacher fan, Puller just falls a little short in my humble opinion. I will certainly get the next one in the series.
As I was listening to this book, I was thinking to myself that I miss Dismas and Abe. I am glad for a chance to catch up on their adventures. Personally, I am a legal mystery fan and love the court room dramas. I have all of the books in this series and always look forward to the next installment. This book entertained me and kept me guessing. I look forward to the next one from John Lescroart... I am a fan of this series and will continue to listen to his books. Worth the credit and the time.
While this book did not keep me on the edge of my seat biting my nails, I found that it was a good mystery with a cautionary thread running through it. I think that Harlan Coben did an excellent job in weaving two mysteries together. I recommend it, in my opinion it had good entertainment value.
So many of the listeners gave low marks to this book and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. It is not the suspense filled typical John Grisham book, however is sheds some light on the coal mining industry's destroying the land and the ripple effects that has on the families that live there. I found it fascinating, since I knew nothing about the destructive nature of the coal industry. I thought that the book was well researched and had a good story line. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.
One of the best things about a good mystery is trying to figure out "who done it." Surprise endings are my favorite and I was surprised. I thought that I had it figured out and the book let me think that I got it right. Then "SURPRISE!" I was wrong. Good one for sure. I have all of the books written by Gillian Flynn and I have enjoyed them all. I am looking forward to the next book. It is definitely worth the time and the credit. Enjoy!
Dark Places held my interest through every chapter. The ending was a surprise and that always pleases me in a novel. In my humble opinion, this book is well written and well narrated. It definitely is worth the credit and the time.
