    Overall

I adored this book. It is now one of my favorites. These characters have depth, you care for them. The plot was never slow or boring. It grabbed my heart and held it to the end. I will listen to this one again and again.
Lisa Kleypas is amazing and Rosalyn Landor reads her with perfection. Enjoy!

I was so hoping this book would bring me joy like The Paid Companion and the Lavinia and Tobias trilogy. It does that and more!! I loved this book. Great characters! Great story! I did not want it to end. The original Amanda Quick books started my love for historical romance and mystery, and this book reminded me of that love.
Worth waiting for. Now I want more!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Something About You to be better than the print version?

This book came alive by the narrator. Reading it would have been good, but listening to it was great.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of the characters were well developed and likeable. The author's style reminded me of Suzanne Brockmann, whom I LOVE!

What about Karen White’s performance did you like?

She was able to depict men as well as women effortlessly. Sometimes you have to get use to a narrator, or they will have trouble with one gender or the other. Karen White was the reason this book got 5 stars and not 4. I will now check out other books she has narrated.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I loved spending time with these characters. It all came together for me in this book.

    Any additional comments?

I really like the sense of humor in the book. These were not one dimensional characters. I could see where the author could write a story about each one, and I would like that. Truly an enjoyable listen!!

Lady Minerva Sharpe has the perfect plan to thwart her grandmother’s demands: become engaged to a rogue! Surely Gran would rather release her inheritance than see her wed a scoundrel. And who better to play the part of Minerva’s would-be husband than wild barrister Giles Masters, the very inspiration for the handsome spy in the popular Gothic novels she writes? The memory of his passionate kiss on her nineteenth birthday has lingered in Minerva’s imagination, though she has no intention of really falling for such a rakehell, much less marrying him.

Beverly says: "Story was great, narrator was awful."

    Overall

It was fun to read this book. Sabrina Jeffries combines humor and steamy love scenes. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like the narrator, but after awhile I felt she really captured the life and feel of the book. It was fun and light to listen to.
