I've always liked to read. But I've become addicted to Audible and average 5 or 6 books a week. But everybody has at least one vice right?

Two of paranormal romance's best-selling authors combine their extraordinary talents and set your headphones on fire with an after-dark anthology featuring Alpha males so hot, so wild, and so bad, they may just be the best you've ever had...

    Story

I have really grown to love this series by Shelly Laurenston. Each story has progressively gotten better and funnier. And I believe this story about how Irene and Niles become mates maybe my favorite. At first I just couldn't see how a woman who seemed to have the warmth and personality of wood could possibly become a love interest to a man who is not only most definitely alpha male but also charming. Irene is a scientist, a genius who is so bluntly honest in everything she says you can't help but enjoy the banter between her and Niles. While she is book smart she is often clueless to the social interaction between men and women. But she is also tough as nails speaks her mind doesn't back down or pull her punches. I guess from this description you might wonder what's interesting about her. But trust me when I say by the end of the story she will be one of your most favorite characters. And she and Niles are the perfect opposites together. This is one I might read again just because.

The second story wasn't bad, however I wasn't as big a fan here. The story itself was interesting but I would have liked to get a little more invested in the characters lives. Things sort of went from zero to 60 without knowing what made it click. Also while I don't mind having a dominate male character in a story....the calling her baby all the time got on my last nerve. I don't object to the term of endearment but this came across as stupidly macho. I would have enjoyed it and the Kane character more if he didn't use that phrase in such a cliche way. Maybe that's just me.

This book was still overall very worth the read.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better. The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

    Story

There is not enough room in this review to write all the good things I can say about these books. Emma Chase did an excellent job telling the story of Drew and Kate....so much so that by the end you don't just love this couple but you are in love with their friends and extended family as well. Sebastian York as narrator knocks it out of the park each and every time as the voice of Drew Evans....He is Drew. And his voices as the other characters are so good that with Ms Chases well written words and his voice they become real and you are there in the moment with them.

These books are a rollercoaster ride. They make you grin and laugh out loud and a few times even tear up. But one thing is for certain you won't want to put one down once you start reading it.

I have a lot of books I have loved and a few favorite authors....But this author and these books are now among my favorites. I reccommend these books highly...they will not disappoint. But don't be surprised if your cheeks hurt from grinning or you find yourself laughing. Thank you Ms Chase...job very well done.

Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

This is my first time reading this author but after this book ill be reading more of her work. I'm not sure what I was expecting. Maybe more the typical romance novel. But this isn't one of those.

It's a very heartfelt and touching story about life and growing up and yes falling in love. It made me laugh and tear up quite a few times. The characters made you care about them and the story pulls you in and you can't help but feel deeply for what they go through.

I don't want to give anything away. Not with this story. It's worth the read and you will have a hard time putting it down. It's well written and well narrated. I would recommend this book, you won't be sorry.

    Story

This is a great story narrated perfectly and told from the guys point of view. Drew is the definition of bad boy....and he makes no apologies for it. In fact he takes pride in it. He's rich successful intelligent and women love him. His life is pretty much as he likes it until he randomly sees a girl in a bar and decides he has to have her. It might have stopped there until Monday rolls around and he discovers that this same girl is now working for his company.

The chemistry and competition between the two make this story fun and at times hilarious. If you ever want to know what happens when a bad boy is brought to his knees by a good girl then this book is a must read.

You won't be sorry...it grabs you from the first chapter and you are disappointed it has to end.

Excellent story, great narrator 5 stars all the way.

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this. Evelyn Thomas' plans for celebrating her 21st birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened. One thing is certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.

    Story

I picked this book to read after breezing through the new Patrica Briggs novel. I admit I bought it for just something to read while waiting for the next book I wanted to be released and really wasn't expecting a lot... But I was surprised. Really surprised in a great way. I loved the characters. I loved the story....it was funny and smart.. It was sexy without being too much...in fact it worked perfectly with the story.

I felt hopeful for these two people and even though they both made a few mistakes you still stayed invested in their story and wanted them to work it out. Plus I suppose everyone at one time or another has wondered what it would be like to go from a normal life to being on the inside of celebrity. I think this story showed the good and the bad side of public life equally.

The narrator was great. She did an excellent job with the voices. This was a great book. Good enough that I'll be reading the next two. One of which gets released in April and the other in July. It's worth a credit.

    Story

I started reading this series sort of expecting a typical shifter type story. These are so different. I have to be honest at first I wasn't sure I could like the characters. They are brutal and sometimes vicious and most think of humans as nothing more than meat.

Most humans are looked down upon or barely tolerated. Until Meg shows up. Cold, hungry and scared. It's not as if she's even seen as different at first....in fact there is a feeling she is more but she's an un known and a mystery.

The thing I think that has gotten me hooked on these is that they don't automatically just fix everything and everyone holds hands in friendship. These shifters or "others" have a very different view of the world. Not right or wrong just different. Meg while human has not ever really lived among them so her view and reactions are not what is expected either.

I think the thing I am getting the most from these stories is how much these characters try to understand each other and struggle with that understanding. Mostly because they have lived so isolated from each other they have very little knowledge of what normal is. They also have a huge mistrust of each other...which is not unfounded.

I like that as time goes on Meg just being herself is bringing both sides together and has not only won the loyalty of almost everyone shes touched but is also changing everything just through simple honesty and kindness.

I can't wait to see where the story goes. I can't wait to see what developes between meg and Simon and what happens to their friendship. These stories have me hooked and I can't wait for the next book to arrive.

    Story

I have enjoyed this series and to be honest I think it surprised me. Its not one of the typical shifter stories at all. The characters are tough and raw and a wee bit ranchy....but the conversations and interaction between these tough and street wise characters had me laughing out loud in several places. It's one of those stories about family, not one your born into always but those who are together by choice, by friendship....no matter how dysfunctional.

It also has very definite good guys vs bad guys....even if the good guys can be and often are a little scary. It's worth the read.

I'm also a fan of Johanna Parker and while these stories say they are narrated by Charoltte Kane....I'm thinking if it's not Parker under another name then it's her sister. But no matter the name it's well done the characters and voices are great.

    Story

This series surprised me. Id been searching for a new one to read and enjoyed each book up to this one. The first two while good stories didn't get to me like this one did. Callen tugs at your heart as you empathize with a young guy who's been severely mistreated abused and abandoned by everyone he's ever known except a grandmother.

There were a few times during the story when I actually wasn't sure he'd be able to overcome the evil trying to corrupt him and subvert him. A few times it was uncomfortable to even read because you could see him making such stupid choices. You wanted to yell at him and tell him to wake up and see what he was doing and look at the consequences of his actions. It made me so mad at one point I almost stopped reading.

I'm glad I didn't. Callen was finally able to over come his struggle and in the end finds what he's been wanting and searching for. A family and place he belongs. But it was a struggle for him to get there and this story kept you on the edge of your seat a few times.

I would be interested to see what becomes of this man and his new found family. I hope the author will revisit him in another book and add to his story.

    Worth the read.

And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don't faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she's known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham - that's a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him.

Where does How to Run with a Naked Werewolf rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love Molly Harper books and this one did not disappoint me.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the interaction between Caleb and Anna and I loved the way at the end she was able to not only stand up to her pyscho ex but became stronger and found she wasn't alone any more.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi is by far one of the best narrators out there. I've listened to a lot of books she's done and I am never disappointed. She makes a good story even better.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was and I did. All 8 something hours of it.

    Any additional comments?

I am never disappointed with a Molly Harper story. I do love the way she is integrating the Jane vampire characters into her werewolf series. But then it's hard not to like Dick and Andrea or any of Janes friends/family for that matter. The only bad thing I can say about Molly Harper is she leaves me wishing I didn't have to wait for another story.

Two stories one book... The first one was a bit too much. (graphic sex) I mean it had likable characters and I think I would have enjoyed it slightly more if I'd seen more interaction with the other characters and story other than they just knew each other in high school and now as adults were drawn to having sex every five minutes. But even with that it wasn't a bad story... But I did like that it introduced other characters such as the wolf pack and lion shifters, which reappear in the next story more prominently. The second story made me laugh. I loved the interaction of the family members. The strong willed independent heroines and patient/protective and tenacious males. The more you hear about Ronnie's past and adventures the more you like her and laugh. And when you see her mates shock and awe over those antics you can't help but like him more as well. I would love to see more stories about this family. And can't wait to read book two in hopes that it will follow more along the lines of the way book one ended. In fact I was sorry to see this story come to an end. The narrator was awesome. Sounded like one of my favorites Johanna Parker? If it wasn't her under another name then she's got a vocal twin out there. Either way narration was great!!
