Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It starts off by gripping my interest and not letting go! I definitely recommend this book!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shadow Prey?

The climax - the final showdown between good and evil - blew my mind. I was so nervous for Lucas and his family! I could barely breathe! Thank goodness for the safe!!

Which character – as performed by Richard Ferrone – was your favorite?

Lucas - he has a cool, alpha male "swag" about him, and I can feel it through Richard Ferrone's voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The beginning of the book was heartbreaking. Without giving away much, my heart ached for the poor girl. She was a human being...somebody's daughter. All I could think to myself is 'She will never be the same.'

    Any additional comments?

I have purchased the next two books in this series! I love the Prey series thus far and plan to listen to each and every book!!!

299 Days: The Preparation, the first audiobook in the 299 Days series, depicts the inner struggles Grant must face as he exists in a social system he recognizes as unsustainable and on the verge of collapse, but one in which he has built his life around. What begins as a return to his roots, self-sufficiency and independence, becomes a full blown move to prepare for what may come.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Don't know

What was most disappointing about Glen Tate’s story?

Too much time setting up for the rest of the book. Every little detail was covered, in the most boring way. I am on chapter 20 and it is still hum-drum.

What didn’t you like about Kevin Pierce’s performance?

    N/A

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, the detail about his life as a child was interesting, and evoked feeling from me.

    Any additional comments?

    No

The night after the fourth of July, Layton Carlson, Jr., of Red Wing, Minnesota, finally got lucky. And unlucky.

He’d picked the perfect spot to lose his virginity to his girlfriend, an abandoned farmyard in the middle of cornfields: nice, private, and quiet. The only problem was...something smelled bad - like, really bad. He mentioned it to a county deputy he knew, and when the cop took a look, he found a body stuffed down a cistern. And then another, and another. By the time Lucas Davenport was called in, the police were up to 15 bodies and counting.

What did you love best about Field of Prey?

The story felt like it could be real. It felt like something out of the headlines - Dahmer has friends.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Field of Prey?

The pit...chilled me to the bone. The gruesomeness of the murders...what was done to the bodies...how the murderers enjoyed it and why. All I could think about was there are really people in this world like that!!

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

True emotion that the author intended.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I fell asleep listening to it twice!!

    Any additional comments?

I happened upon this book. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize that there was an entire series. I have purchased three additional books in this series and they are all great! 5 stars!!!

Now, Robie becomes a target himself and must escape from his own people.

Fleeing the scene, Robie crosses paths with a wayward teenage girl, a 14-year-old runaway from a foster home. But she isn't an ordinary runaway....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book and the entire series. Each book gets better and better.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I couldn't stop listening to this book! There is murder, twists and turns, new relationships, sorrow, loss, and triumph. A great storyline.

What does Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ron McLarty and Oragh Cassidy bring the intended personalties and expression to life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I gripped by the recollection of the child whose parents were murdered; and how street savvy she was to aide in finding the killer.

    Any additional comments?

Read these books in order. These readings should be presented in a way that the listeners will know about the series. I purchased the books out of order because I didn't know there was a series.
