This one is indescribable. I was listening with my headphones on and kept laughing out loud making my friends and family wonder about my sanity. The next ones in the series are only funnier. Take a spasticly wise cracking woman with a penchant for getting into trouble and make her a Vampire. It only gets her into more trouble. And she always has something to say even when she should keep her mouth shut. I love this book!
Ms Harper always writes a great and funny story. I laugh out loud at her clever riposts. I have never "heard" a better writer. I even have listened to her books through a second time as i have enjoyed them so much. Amanda Ronconi is the voice of her books and she does it beautifully. I look forward to her next and then the next. I am a fan, thank you both for you hard work and enjoyable stories and narrative.
I laughed as I do to all of Molly Harpers books. Enjoyable short novel. Worth the read. I was worried after reading some of the other reviews, but I needn't have worried. Hope you enjoy it too.
This was a good continuation for the Dinosaur planet survivors. If you have not read the series, this book will confuse the heck out of you. This story does not stand alone. It is like a chapter of a continuing story. And this would be chapter 6 or 7. If however, you have read all the previous books, (which audible does not have) you will like the story. There is no description of the main characters in this installment. The total story (all the chapters, is quiet well written. It is only hard to follow if you do not have all the books or the proper order for them.
Read it yourself if you can. The performer is rather bland and does not contribute much to the story.
This book took me a little while to get into, but when I did, I was hooked. I am an eclectic reader, but avoid romance and was pleased to find this one did not fall into the thinly disguised romance that a lot of this type of fiction has generated. I think the characters could be fleshed out a little more, hopefully this will be so with upcoming books. Plot was a little thin in spots but still an enjoyable read. The performer does not do accents well, but I did not really mind. His portrayal of a dog was humorous to me. I wish you a pleasant few hours listen.
I liked reading the book, I bought the audible because I had lost the book on the plane with out finishing it. I really enjoyed reading it. However, the performance ruins it. The reader acts as though she is reading to a 3 year old (a very slow and addle witted 3 yr old) and really talks down to the reader. Even my kids didn't like her. She uses baby voices for all the characters and is really annoying. The reader ruins this book in my opinion and I will never buy another book with this performer.
