Compelling. Eye-opening. Science-based.
It takes fairly complicated findings from neuroscience and cognitive science and evolution and puts a fun, simple spin on it without dumbing it down so people of all backgrounds can enjoy it.
stop being a sheep...become less dumb
I'm a neuroscientist and his facts and summations are scientifically accurate, but he doesn't make it heavy going. He explains things clearly and with a sense of humor!
The title, but it didn't really deliver
Probably not. It Is a little simple
It's not really that kind of book
Eye-opening to the power of math
When I realized human nature is not really bad, it just is, and it can largely be predicted if we remember that we are all out to make the best decision for ourselves without necessarily wanting to badly affect others.
It's a non-fiction with no characters
Mathematics explains human nature
If you know anything, really even just a little, about game theory and if you like math this is a fascinating proof that our behavior isn't as mysterious as we might think.
Brie learns the art of submission
Fifty Shades of Grey
Her first 'discipline' at work
As usual the situation is absurd and probably would never occur- but if you don't care about that and like these types of stories it wastes no time in jumping right in to the hot scenes.
Suspended belief and constant BDSM excitement without being too much
When she meets 'Sir'
good accents for various characters
It's not really that kind of book...if you want to laugh or cry you're probably in the wrong topic area!
As with most of these novels it is totally preposterous, but really hot, fast moving and not too bad a story for once!
When it becomes clear that deviance is not necessarily a bad, or unusual thing
His intonation and narrative is interesting. If you enjoy learning about a somewhat dry topic he makes it interesting. I never was bored.
No, it's got too much information in it. Need to digest slowly.
I never thought about deviance as he presents it. I listened to it to try and understand why some people are so evil. He doesn't really discuss this but presents theories of deviance from a social science perspective which I was unaware of.
Don't know- didn't read the book
You are now less Dumb
The predictioner's game
This is non-fiction
Hold on to your seats- you're not going to believe some of these things!
It is very interesting. Fast moving. Thought provoking and somehow vastly different topics are seamlessly joined together!
For non-fiction it is one of the best I've listened to. Clear, interesting.
It explains a complicated subject surrounded by much colloquial mystery simply. It also gives philosophical reasons why we really don't have excuses and why doing what we need to do just is...so get on with it!
Intonation and some personal comments that give thoughtful support
A clear explanation of what this philosophy actual is and how it really applies to normal modern life
It changed my life and when I start over thinking things, wondering why something is, I listen to parts of it and feel much better about what choices I have and that I just need to get on with it. Being human isn't as complicated as we make out sometimes!
