Mr. Shafer writes very well. He has created interesting characters that have the potential for considerable depth; they are appropriately "snarky" & hip! His world is terrifying possible, and the thesis could be right from tomorrow's news.
My disappointment is that (IMHO) the plot took forever to develop and the best part - the last part of the book was what i was hoping to encounter throughout the whole piece. I wish there had been considerable editing and the end of the book actually be the middle of the book. This book would make more sense if these characters will be part of a series...
Mr. Clark's performance is terrific and the reason I stayed with the book until the end.
I was a liberal art major in College. Money, to me, just sort of "was." Mr. Ferguson takes the listener through a delightful history of money and economy and allows one to see how we got where we are.
Who doesn't love a story about ruthless killer, with a moral compass? Mr. Greaney had me hook w/in the first few pages and took me for a wonderful ride. Looking forward to the other stories in the series.
Mr. Madden has done his homework. This work is a fine introduction to the long and sometimes sorted history of the papacy.
Twists, turns, romance, savage battles, and intelligent writing! Mr. Tufo respects his audience whether they be young adults or an old fart like me! I enjoyed my time with this story and returning to the ever expanding Tufo universe!
I completely enjoyed this well researched and completely unorthodox approach to American History. May I suggest a companion book which pits the presidents against each other? I'd expect a a final four of Washington, Jackson, Lincoln, & TR? (smart money is on TR!)
Challenging Moral questions - well worth the effort. Clive Mantle does a fine job balancing the tension.
... and then it started to trip on itself. I which there was more time to develop the thesis. Interesting conceit, just happen to fizzle out at the end
Great look at a NY icon, or is it megalomaniac? A MUST for folks interested in Politics - especially New York Politics!
Truly wonderful rendition of one of the Bard's most famous works. I was drawn in like a underling and remembered some of best professor's lectures at the same time!
