Standing over the body of a Supreme Court nominee, Lieutenant Sam Holland is hip-deep in another high-profile murder case. The fact that she was one of the last people to see Julian Sinclair alive just complicates things even more. On the plus side, her relationship with Senator Nick Cappuano is heating up - but it's also attracting a lot of unwanted media attention and blinding flash bulbs.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who needs to live an explicit sex life through someone elses eyes........

What could Marie Force have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Stick with the story and let us use our own imaginations for the sexual parts.......way overboard.........

Have you listened to any of Katie Sparer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and she does a nice job of narrating........

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story was interesting if you could move around all the sex.....

    Any additional comments?

You seem like you are a good writer, try writing something that is more meat and less fluff!

What did you love best about The General's Daughter?

The story was great, especially because it was read by Scott Brick. The combination of DeMille/Brick is so dynamic that it keep you mesmerized from the get go...

Who was your favorite character and why?

Paul Brenner was so gritty with his dry sense of humor and his wit.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Hands down the ending.......

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Dynamite!

    Any additional comments?

I always wonder if Nelson DeMille is channeling himself in these novels........would love to meet him or see an interview..

  • Dust: Kay Scarpetta, Book 21

After working one of the worst mass killings in U.S. history, Scarpetta returns home to Cambridge, Massachusetts. Exhausted and ill, she's recovering at home when she receives an unsettling call. The body of a young woman has been discovered on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's rugby field. The victim, a graduate student named Gail Shipman, is oddly draped in ivory linen and posed in a way that is too deliberate to be the killer's first strike.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The story might be pretty good, but the reader was so boring that it was easy to tune out.

Would you be willing to try another book from Patricia Cornwell? Why or why not?

Yes, but not with the same reader. I read her books and they are usually pretty good.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was very flat. Really didn't put any personality into the characters, and these characters have personality. If Kay were this boring in real life, Benton would not be interested in her.......

Was Dust worth the listening time?

No. I was happy when it ended. I needed the ending, but I wanted to get there quicker because I couldn't stand listening to it..

  • Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

What would have made Killing Lincoln better?

If this book had been read by a "professional" reader, it could have been fantastic. I think Bill O'Reilly is delightful to listen to on TV or radio, but he just droned through the reading of the book. It would be better if he pulled his reading and hired someone else to do it over.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have to READ the book in order to answer this.

Would you be willing to try another one of Bill O'Reilly’s performances?

Absolutely not. Buy the book, perhaps........but listen to him read, NO WAY......

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Killing Lincoln?

If I could play editor, I would have him pause between chapters, give some emphasis to his words, any kind of emotion would have helped.

    Any additional comments?

Please, Mr. O'Reilly........you are a gifted writer and an eloquent speaker........stop reading your own books....please.
