I so enjoyed this story! I usually listen in the car to and from work, but this was one I had trouble leaving in the garage. I could not stop listening. The characters draw you in to their world, and I felt connected to them. I did not think it was sad. The story is told so well that you really do feel for these characters, their happiness and sadness. Naration was great, I will definitely listen again. Wish the author would write a sequel and continue this great story!
I downloaded this book based on previous reviews, and boy was I disappointed! I have enjoyed other Sandra Brown books, but this one was so predictable. And slow! I could not wait for it to be over, did a lot of fast forwarding. The ridiculous and repetitive banter between Coburn and Honor drove me nuts! I actually laughed hysterically at the end when the identity of the
I have never done so much fast forwarding(and not missed anything!) Too long with too many unnecessary details. I don't know if I'll make it to the end.
Would not compare to Stephen King! Just when things start moving, and the suspense builds, the author drones on with unnecessary details. 5 minutes loaded with synonyms about how bad his stomach hurts. We get it! Move on. While there were parts in the book that captivated, I'ts just too slow and long to keep me captivated. Maybe a better read than listen.
I,ve listened to this twice now and will probably listen again! Narration was great, I became very attatched to these characters. What a wonderful story, I hated to see it end!!
Very rarely do I wish for an audiobook to end, but this one seemed to go on forever! Not much mystery involved, I knew how the "murder" occured pretty early on. I waited until the end though, and it just did'nt deliver. The "lists" drove me crazy. Odd way of telling a story!
