Where does And the Mountains Echoed rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is an excellent book. I found when reading it for myself I was engrossed. When trying to listen I was unable to stay focused due to the accent of the narration. I know the author is an outstanding author I am a fan of his stories I just wasn't pleased with his narration.

    Any additional comments?

Again this book is a must read. It's excellent. My problem was with the narrator not the story

Jodi Picoult delivers the riveting tale of one small town's entanglement with high-school violence.

New York Superior Court Judge Alex Cormier is assigned to preside over the case of the alleged Sterling High School shooter. Lawyer Jordan McAffee represents Peter, the boy who, on the day of the shooting, was found in the corner of the gymnasium holding a gun to his head with a shaky hand. Detective Patrick DuCharme has one star witness, but her story keeps changing. And then there's the biggest problem of all: the star witness happens to be Judge Cormier's daughter.

I enjoyed listening to this story. I was attached to so many of the characters. I liked how the author made them all feel so known by the reader.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the anticipation of what may or may not happen. It's what kept me hooked.

Which character – as performed by Craig Wasson – was your favorite?

I enjoyed many of the characters. The narration was very well done. I like how he gave each character a different voice and really brought them to life. Also it was written so detailed you really were able to become familiar with each of them.

    Any additional comments?

This was a very interesting book. The type you can't put down because you would feel incomplete not knowing what happened.
