Yes! I will surely will listen to it again. Love the story and the narrator does a pretty good job her voice is easy to listen to.
Both Brenna and Connor can't go wrong with both. The go together like bacon and eggs.
When listening to a book is like having a bran new version of the book if it's done well and she does. She as a nice voice not scratchy nor gruff nor whinny (I hate whinny voices). But I wouldn't stop reading the print or e-book they all go together.
Blue Paint and Weddings
The first book was a lot better at least that one had suspense in it, this on...Not.
Well this one was way to long. It drags .
I do love historical romance but they have to have more than gowns description, balls and 2 girls plotting to get their man.
Didn't feel any connection nor anything real about either Elyse or Micheal. The love scenes were strongly lacking, some authors do know how to write them, Sandy Raven, does not.. And the plot fell much to short.
I found the double narration less confusing than in the first book but the narrators were not good at voices and at times sounded like they were trying to hard.
Marian Hussey does a real good job. Liked her voice not to high nor low.
She can change the tone and intonation and do good accents for the characters.
Liked the story, like the mixed matched household help from the butler to the maids and all in between.
Liked the way it flowed smoothly, the action is right there almost at the beginning and it did keep me interested.
The spy and the lady do go round for round and finally do get together.
I think it was interesting enough that I will look for other books cause I'm sure Jacques, the young man who helped her in France will return in them and they didn't catch one of the bad guys.
What do you want more than Highlanders, Vamps & a bit more?
Loved it! Valerie Gilbert did one hell of a job on this one.
Claudy Conn makes reading her books a thrill!
Liked the first book way better. Was waiting for something magical to happen like in Forever His or like in the third book, it never came. Quite long at times not captivating until the couple of last chapters.
The story is good but I wasn't that fond of the 2 narrators.
By switching from one to the other it took from smooth going of the story. It kinda broke the feelings and how it should of flowed.
And their voices were not that good, neither one gave enough difference from one character to the other, except for the young ones and the Italian maid.
You will love this story and fall in love with Elle Newland's voice!
Love Lynsay Sands books and now love the audio version of this one!
Elle Newland is the perfect narrator for this book. She as a real nice smooth voice, she is quite good with the various voices, male & female.
I'll look for more of he narrations.
I really like this story. It kept me captivated and that a big plus.
I know a lot of controversy about the translation and some pronunciation are out there about this book but having no German or Maori knowledge nor how things were for the new settlers back then in New Zealand... I have to deal with this version.
The narration was pretty good, voices were very recognizable from one male to the other as well as the female ones. As long as it was it was not boring nor was it stretch out.
Will surely get the other books in the series.
Good story and good series. Felt bad for Garret most of the times. His brother the Duke and his wife both had the knik to bring him down. Juliet does have a strong mind but a bit to pushy at times.
Narrator as a real deep voice, great for a Duke or any man. And does good accents to go with them...but for the women voices, it wasn't that nice. Poor ladies all sounded like they were choking or sounded like they were speaking with a hot potato in their mouth.
Good story, great series. Would of picked another narrator though, she wasn't awful but she did had a tendency of trying to hard at times. And the voices are to much the same.
One more to re-listen to!
Loved this story! Loved the beginning where Mary fights to keep the baby girl.
Liked it a lot when Christina popped up in England at the Tons balls and how she reacted to Lyon. How he takes charge kinda.
Susan Duerden as usual did one heck of a job.
