In The Sword of the Lady, Rudi Mackenzie's destiny was determined. Now he returns to Montival in the Pacific Northwest, where he will face the legions of the Prophet. To achieve victory, Rudi must assemble a coalition of those who had been his enemies a few months before and forge them into an army that will rescue his homeland. Only then will Rudi be able to come to terms with how the Sword has changed him, as well as the world, and assume his place as Artos, High King of Montival.

I've read or listened to every book in this series, and while the book is as well written as the previous ones, it just doesn't have any substance. He's dragging out the ultimate confrontation for the sake of book sales. You can read the first chapter and the last 3 chapters and be ready for the next installment. It's not worth the credit. Wait for the next book!

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

It gets 2 stars because whenever the book decides to move the plot along it does it pretty well, unfortunately that rarely happens. This book could be abridged to 2 hours and still be an hour and forty five minutes too long. And yes Roy Dotrice does mess up the female characters. And it would be more bearable if the next book was release in a decent time frame. What upsets me the most is that the whole thing has so much potential. Please do not waste your credit!!!!!

I read this series and I have to say I loved it! I felt as if I knew each of the characters and was experiencing the story through them. I wanted to get married again and let Vows plan the whole thing. Great book!

Rafael De La Cruz has spent centuries hunting vampires with his brothers. With each passing year, his capacity to feel emotions has grown weaker and weaker, until finally there's barely a memory of one left - only sheer willpower keeps him from turning into the very abomination he hunts. But it'll take more than will to keep him away from the woman who is meant to be his and his alone.

This was a great book! I picked this book because I was going on a long car trip and wanted something to keep my mind occupied. My husband even got into it. This was the first book that I have read from this author and I found myself looking for another. Dark Demon is available and I suggest you get that one also.
